The (h/c) woman made her way to not only her sisters work place but also her dear and long time friend Shinobu was. Or to the eldest Kanzaki 'Shino-chan' .
She opened the doors and made her way to the Insect pillars office and waited. It was quite normal for the Insect pillar to ask other demon slayers for a physical. But when she did she surely wasn't the nicest about it.
While waiting and thinking deeply, Kanzaki could sense a booming but strong aura.
She started to smile at who it was, with out seeing them fully.
"Hello to you too Uzui.." she spoke not even lifting her head. She smiled at his whining at how he wanted to spook the great and flamboyant Ice Pillar of the Demon Slayer corps. But in all goodness he really did admire her and her strength.
"What are you doing here Uzui? Do you not have a wife or three perhaps to tend to right now?" Kanzaki said as she walked to the changing room to dress out of her uniform and into a hospital gown for her physical that the helper informed her of.
Uzui being respectful for her turned he head forward and spoke to her from the other side of the door and wall. Not only blocking the door from anyone's sight but also because Uzui felt a strong urge to protect her more than himself and maybe his own wives.(maybe..)
"Ah, yes I do but I came her to offer you something." Kanzaki knocked the door to signal him he could back away now. He did and kept his gaze above her body out of respect for a comrade and because...out of affecition.
The sound pillar was known to have a liking and to be flirty towards her, but he truly does have genuine feelings toward her and want her to be his. Even his wives have commented on how he had fallen for her and how they would not mind sharing her with him. (One of them also having a crush on the Ice pillar)
"Hmm what is this offer you suggest?"
She looked up at his figure. He was of course a handsome man and a strong one at that. She showed nothing but respect and kindness to Uzui and nothing less of it. He took in a deep inhale through his nose.
"I was wondering if you and possible the others would join me and my wives at the beach. The others know somewhat of it, I just wanted to personally invite you myself. Since I want of course my most flamboyant doll to accompany me..." He said, Uzui never felt this nerves. He could hear he heart beat speed up but not much. She must have sensed him hearing her.
"I would love too! Also next few days we all are off and it is our rest days! I would love to go Uzui." She smiled up at him. Then a person cleared their throat grabbing both of their attentions. They both see the Insect pillar looking a little pissed at Uzui but more than happy about Kanzaki. (Y/n) hurried to follow after the purple haired pillar to get her physical and check up done.
Shinobu was upset.
'I wanted to ask her to come..it wasn't even his idea!'
She just breathed and let Kanzaki into the room and proceeded to do her physical..
...
After the physical, Kanzaki talked with Shinobu about the beach and what she would do when they would go later that week.
"So..Shino-chan what are you going to do when we do go? Build sand castles, swim or relax?" Kanzami asked her dear butterfly.
"Ara, I may just relax, you know..stress has built up and good day in the sun should feel nice." The icy eyed woman hummed in agreement. They both sat in a comfortable silence for a while until..
"NEE-SAN! COME HELP ME GET HIM! HE ATTACKED ME!"
Kanzaki jumped up, but before running to help her sister. She ran back and bowed to Shinobu and hugged her thanking her for thinking about her health.
"Thank you Kocho, I am eternally grateful for you to look after me and to let Aoi work her!" (Y/n) said as she started for the garden and training room.
But Shinobu was smiling a lot. A real one. Not a fake one or a mirage.
'I'm grateful for you being here..thank you for making me love again...'
With that the butterfly sighed as she walked to her office and thought deeply about how the Ice pillar captured her heart once more without even noticing.
'I swear she will be mine..'
But in those thoughts she wasn't the only pillar who thought that way...
