I look around me as I walk under the night sky, who's stars shine my path and the structures around me. Structures that hold loving and caring families, who hold onto the memories of there late loved ones.Love, what a wonderful thing.
Its what drives people to success, what drives them to hurt, and what heals there deepest wounds.
But what even is love?
For every healing heart, theres one thats being broken and shredded into nothing but a faint remembrance of who someone was.
Thats me.
Walking down the lonely streets as I think about who I am? Do I know who I am?
No, but maybe thinking will help me find myself.
All my life I've felt out of place and didn't really feel like I had anywhere to go. I didn't have something to call home.
But I did know one thing, its that no matter how down I am, or how sick I feel. I will always be ok when in the presence of the young blonde boy sitting on the side of the road in front of me.
I carefully walked closer to him, hoping I was silent enough to not be noticed. But my hope quickly faded away into the calm midnight air as the boy turned his head toward me, a small smile creeping on his pink lips.
'Hi' I say lowly, as my breath hitched in the back of my throat, taken by his beauty.
'Hey' The boy spoke, turning to face the building on the other side of the road, as I sat down on the curb.
Turning my head to look at him, I can now see him better. His grown out brown roots merging with the blond dye that covers the rest of his hair. The outline of his jaw, subtle but noticeable, his pink lips that are wet from the way he pokes his tongue out to keep them from cracking by the chilly night air. His nose a bit red from the cold and his cheeks pink. But his eyes, they were as light as the calm waters of the sea, ranging from every type of blue there was.
Its like looking at a painting.
'Thought you weren't coming' The boy turns his head towards me, catching me in the middle of my admiring.
'Yeah, I got caught up' Seeming to get the hint I was upset, he decided to not go into it more than needed, and turned his head back to look at the brick wall.
Looking at the floor, as I picked at my nails, I suddenly felt a warmth engulf my hands, Smiling to myself when I saw his hands on top of mines.
Feeling a bit tired I laid my head on his shoulder and intertwined our fingers, resting them on my lap, as I closed my eyes and breathed in the faint smell of his cologne.
'You'll be ok'
***
Feeling the soft sand underneath my feet, and in between my toes as I walked through the salty sea air, a bit chilly but yet warm as I felt the body heat radiate off of the boy walking with me, hands intertwined as if one of us would've been pulled away by the force of nature at any second.
'I like this' I say lost in my head full of thoughts and emotions, not caring that my statement was confusing.
In the corner of my eye I could see his confused expression, 'us, I mean' I stated hoping it would clear things up.
A heavy silence grew over us before being shattered away by his words.
'I like this too' I looked at his blue eyes for a mere second before turning back around, and looking ahead.
