Riley's POV
The date is going great, he took me to a coffee ship and we sat there talking for hours. I learned a lot about him, he has two older sisters and a younger brother, he's been dancing at The Next Step since he was 3. He also said that he liked me since I joined the studio...that kinda made me blush.
"So Riley, tell me about yourself," he takes my hand and smiles.
I'm speechless...I don't know what to say. Do I tell him the truth? Can I trust him? I don't know. Then I decided to tell him the truth.
"Well my mom and my sister died when I was 15, I live with my father. He's really mean. He hurts me when I don't do what he says, he makes me do work like cleaning the house and making him food. The only place I can leave my horrible life is at the studio. I also have this voice in my head that tells me I'm not good enough. I'm useless, worthless, ugly, horrible, fat. My life is horrible," I look down waiting for him to respond.
"Wow," he replied still holding my hand.
Eldon's POV
I look at Riley and she's looking down. I'm not sure if what she told me was true or not. But when you think about it she wouldn't lie about that.
"Hey Riles, why don't you come stay with me tonight? My mom won't mine." I asked.
"My dad will kill me if he finds out...I can't," she's still looking down.
"He won't lay a finger on you okay? I will protect you from him and if he hurts you ever again I need you to tell me."
She looks up at me and says, "Okay."
"Okay now lets go to my house," I say standing up and then she stands up and we drive to my house.
