Turns out, Y/n's assured words of "tomorrow's going to be great" wasn't all that true. The five children all sat down in a room as Susan was reading words from a big book. Peter and Y/n sat on the same chair.

""Gastrovascular."" Susan read. "Come on, Peter, Y/n. Gastrovascular." She looked to the two oldest.

Peter sighed, lifting his head from where he was resting them on Y/n's legs, considering she sat on the arm of the chair. "Is it Latin?"

"Yes." Susan answered.

"Is it Latin for "worst game ever invented"?" Edmund spoke up.

Susan slammed the book shut as she glared at her younger brother, while Lucy walked to Peter and Y/n, speaking up. "We could play hide and seek."

"But we're already having so much fun." Peter sarcastically commented, glancing at Y/n.

"Come on, Peter, please." Edmund rolled his eyes at his sister. "Pretty please?" She started pouting, looking at her older brother with puppy dog eyes.

Peter frown turned into a small smile as he started counting. "One, two, three, four..."

(Okay, honestly, I keep finding it so cute how the kind of big brother Peter is to Lucy. It's so cute!!!)

"What?" Edmund complained.

Lucy grins at her older brother, making Peter grin back. Y/n glances between the two, a smile on her face. "...five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven..."

By now, Susan and Edmund ran out of the room as Peter walked to the wall, covering his eyes. Lucy grabbed Y/n's hand, dragging her out of the room. What she didn't know, was that Peter glanced over his shoulder, staring at the girl until she was out of sight.

~

Lucy carefully ran down the stairs, glancing around before jogging up the other ones, searching for a place to hide.

~

Edmund glanced around before getting on his knees, looking under a desk. He couldn't fit under there. Standing up, he started looking around again.

~

Susan stopped at the bottom of a staircase, looking up at it before her gaze stopped on a wooden bench. Opening it, she climbed inside, now hiding.

~

"...Twenty-four, twenty-five, twenty-six..." Peter continued.

~

Y/n walked into a room, searching around for some place she could hide that she'd fit in. A cupboard came to her sight. She could fit there perfectly. Opening it, she carefully climbed in, making sure not to make any noise.

~

Both Edmund and Lucy ran up different staircases. Meeting in a hallway, the two raced towards some curtains. Just as Lucy almost got to them, Edmund pushed her aside, claiming the spot.

"I was here first!" He said.

Huffing at her brother, Lucy ran away to look for another hiding spot.

~

As Peter finished counting, Lucy ran out of a room. "It's alright! I'm back! I'm alright!"

Edmund peaked out from the curtains he was hiding in. "Shut up! He's coming!"

Lucy looked at her brother as Peter walked to where the two were, making Edmund sigh in annoyance, coming out from his hiding place.

"You know, I'm not sure you two have quite got the idea of this game." Peter commented.
