ANGST HEAVY ANGST

-3rd person pov-

-with lucas-

another day. another day without everyone. another day without him.

lucas wouldn't deny it, he loved him. he loved yuugo more anything.

he knew he had to let go. it's been 13 years, what else was he supposed to do? he couldn't leave these kids by themselves. he couldn't stand the idea of letting more children die. he couldn't. he wouldn't.

he didn't want to accept the fact that there was a possibility that yuugo was no longer here. he couldn't die. he HAD to be alive.

he was snapped out of his thoughts by oliver tugging at his arm.

"hi oliver, is everything okay?"

the boy nodded and replied, "are you ok lucas? you're crying"

lucas brought his hand to his face, noticing tears falling out. he quickly wiped them away and smiled down at the boy.

"yeah, i'm okay. you should get to bed, we've got a lot of training to do tomorrow", he said trying to not to worry him.

oliver nodded and said goodnight before going to bed.

lucas let out a small sigh. it seemed like the days were just getting longer. he just wanted to be with yuugo, to be by his side, to tell him he was okay.

he knew yuugo would probably be torn apart by the fact he thought his whole family was dead. he didn't want yuugo to be in pain. if he knew that lucas was alive, maybe that would help him.

lucas decided to needed some air. he quietly stepped outside, assuming it was safe since the hunt was set to happen for another 2 days. he walked towards the forest and found a space where you could see the stars.

he felt his heart ache.

yuugo would love this view

he felt tears start to fall, but he didn't bother trying to hide them this time. he had bottled up his emotions for years, for the sake of the children he swore to protect.

he scanned the sky, millions of stars could be seen. his eyes landed on a specific set of stars.

am i seeing things?

the stars were formed in a way that made them look like him.

like yuugo.

he felt more tears start to fall. a small smile planted on his face. he hadn't even noticed there was another set of stars in the shape of himself, almost appearing to be holding the 'yuugo stars'.

"i've missed you, yuugo" he said softly. he wanted to believe that somewhere out there, yuugo was looking at the same sky, that by some chance, yuugo could hear him.

"god, i never got to tell you how much i love you. i love you so much and i wish i could've told you before it was too late. you have no idea how hard it's been without you. i've missed you so much yuugo i just wish i could see you, tell you that i'm okay, i wish i told you how much i love you" he whispered softly, not wanting anyone but the stars to hear him.

"who am i kidding, i know he cant hear me" he chuckles softly. it pained him knowing the 'yuugo stars' couldn't hear him.

they weren't him
