Nightmare's POV
It had been two hours, the fire was starting to go out again so I got some of the materials I got earlier to put it in the fire and make it more lively. I watched the fire from across the cave, it amuses me somewhat.
... when are we going to get out of here..? I really just want to go home to Killer.. Dust... Horror... Error... wait.... MY CASTLE!!! They probably burnt it down! ..... fuckkk.... I hope Error controlled them enough to not burn my castle down- I'll only ever hope..-
*smol time skip brought to you by my (not diagnosed(but still feeling it, haha)) depression.*
After around another hour Blue had woken up, he had sat up, using one arm to hold himself up and the other arm/hand to rub his forehead from what only I can assume to be pain. "How are you doing?.. do you know where the pain is?.." I asked Blue, he responded "..horrible... the pain is... it's everywhere.." "I'm sorry to hear that... I don't think there's anything I can do.. I've tried healing you.. it doesn't do anything other then stop your HP from going down... I wish I could do more.." "It's fine!.. it's nothing that I can't handle..." "What do you... what do you mean by that?..." "Oh... yeah, everyone in my au has tried to kill me at least once.. most of them almost succeeded... everyone... everyone except my brother... he never succeeded to protect me, though.." "..... I'm so sorry... is there anything I can do to help?.." "Yes. Protect me with your life. Help make me feel what I could never feel... the feeling of being protected... please..." "Of course, blue.. anything for you.." "Thank you.."
Blue crawled to me, hugging me and cuddling up to me as he closed his eyes. I hugged him back and held him close as I started to heal him again, seeing if I could possibly ease some of the pain he was feeling. It seemed to work as he calmed down, most of the pressure on him going away. I smiled softly, glad I was able to help Blue in some way.
Blue opened his eyes looking at Nightmare with a soft smile on his face. "Thank you, Nightmare... I feel a lot better while you're healing me.. so, thank you.. it.. it means a lot to me.." Blue stumbled a little bit on his words, pausing some times to think of his wording. I responded "it's no problem, Blue. I'd do anything to help you. I'll protect you with all my soul and body. No matter what happens to me, I promise that no one will hurt you ever again." "You're amazing... so much better then the Nightmare Ink and Dream says you are... Dream says after the... after the incident.. you... you became evil.. wanted death of all positive emotions... you made Dream into stone from.. from your negative ones.. and you didn't kill him.. you wanted to find a way to get to the last golden apple which lied inside of Dream as his soul.. so you tried to find a way to get to it but soon gave up... if... if I heard Dream's story correctly... uhm, but... you're much nicer then what Dream said you were... and Ink... he just thinks you're a monster.. he.. he hates you.. I don't know why..! I personally think you're nice.. and amazing!.. you're great.." "... Thank you, Blue.. but, I am not the mean nightmare Dream and Ink know. In fact, I have the mind of the good Nightmare.. the version of Nightmare before the incident happened. That mean Nightmare... he's gone now. He still haunts me.. but he can't hurt anyone now... but, I have to act like him.. if I don't the balance between positivity and negativity may crumble. But, I still.. I still act mean.. and.. and gruesome sometimes due to the negativity. But, that is nothing to worry about because it's mostly gone now." ".... so.. if this had happened sooner.. you would have... you would have just left me for dead?..." "Yes. I'm sorry." "It's fine.. well.." Blue yawned, cutting himself off. He continued after yawning. "Well, I'm tired.. we should sleep.." "Okay... sweet dreams.." Blue and I smiled softly as we both closed our eyes, Blue fell asleep and I didn't, still healing Blue. I didn't want him to die and if I could keep his HP at 20 then I'm pretty sure he'd be okay. .... I hope to dear god...
