they sat in silence. their eyes staring at the screen. occasional laughs and giggles leaving their mouths as they watched the film.

dream looked at George in awe. he looked so pretty, just like always. Dream felt George stirring and turned his head back to face the television.

George noticed and spoke up, " dream.."
"huh yeah George what is it?" he replied
"you're obsessed with me, aren't you?"
George was teasing him.
"maybe i am, maybe Georgie" dream smirked, the truth was.. even he didn't know.

George looked back at the screen and smiled, his stomach filled with butterflies and his heart doing cartwheels. his mind spinning with thoughts of dream.

they both laughed, as the movie showed a funny scene.

the film was about two boys who were best friends, but they both liked each other more than that.

the movie seemed familiar to George and dream. they didn't know why but it was.

it was now midnight, both of the boys were in their own rooms. neither of them sleeping though. they were both tossing and turning, thinking about each other.

(George's pov)

why did dream make him feel like this? what made him feel this way? was it love? no it couldn't be. they were best friends, not lovers or anything. that's all it was.

(Dream's pov)

what was it about him? what was it that drew him to George every single time? was it love? no it couldn't be. they were best friends, not lovers or anything. that's all it was.

(back to narrators pov)

they're thoughts synchronised. as both of them began to remember a song they liked. bestfriend by Rex Orange County.

"you need to be yourself"

"love someone for loving you instead of someone really cool that makes your heart melt"

"who knows what you truly felt"

"you're still my favourite girl, you better trust me when i tell you that there ain't no one else more beautiful in this damn world"
