"I hated living anyway." Staring at the abyss after leaving behind my 99th life, I internally rolled my eyes.

Living a long life might be a good thing, but living through reincarnations after dying? Let me take a break, damn it.

This black space always irk me. The moment I succumb to my fated death, the moment I'm engulfed by darkness, it's simple to tell that I'll get reincarnated again.

With consciousness, even as an infant. Who would want that? Nobody! That's boring as fuck.

"...this is taking longer than usual." Speaking to myself is the only way to keep my sanity. It's a surprise, or more like a miracle, that I haven't gone crazy after a literal 99 times of living.

Add one more misfortune, I'll start living my 100th life ahead.

'Greetings, reincarnator.'

In my whole 99 reincarnations and around 3,000 years of total existence, this is the first time somebody else spoke in this abyss.

"Who are you?" Am I actually accompanied by other souls in this place? Or could it be a divine intervention?

'We have been waiting for you to come back.'

Hearing that didn't surprise me much. "Oh, so that's why I died early than what it should've been."

'Apologies, evil person.'

Wow, so much for our first meeting and conversation. If I can rate this thing, I'll give it a negative for the first impression.

But that's understandable. Considering it mentioned waiting for me to come back, it probably knows how wicked of a human being I am.

I wasn't bad at the start. Maybe it started going downhill when I experienced more than two or three reincarnations.

Imagine how bad I must have become until I reached my previous life, the 99th?

"You're sending me off to live my 100th life now, wouldn't you?"

'Correct. I see there are no objections in your part. Then I shall send you off as soon as possible.'

I just sighed and accepted the verdict. Who am I to complain anyway? This thing defies any logic humans try their hardest to comprehend. Whether I complained or obliged, I'll still end up living my usual 100th life.

The darkness that embraced me for who I am, soon faded away as the bright light slowly swarmed in. My brain can't really take in the light being emitted all of a sudden, but as I adjusted my sight, the light soon had a familiar color.

It's the sun. A literal bright golden sun in a clear blue sky, where the clouds don't look visible enough.

My previous lives all started in a hospital or a simple house. I start from scratch, an infant up to an adult aged 30.
