"Soooo- It's a picture of us walking next to each other.", I said not knowing what else to say.
"Yes. But the text to the picture is what's bothering me.", Jeffrey said and gave me his phone so I could read the text:
"Jeffrey Dean Morgan:An 51 years old actor, mostly known for his rolesas 'John Winchester' in 'Supernatural' and in his currently role as 'Negan' in 'The Walking Dead'. I gave him his phone back without saying anything.
"I mean they are not wrong.", he said putting his phone back in his pocket.
"What do you mean?", I asked confused and shocked as I turned to him.
"The age gap.", he just said.
"Yeah. What is with that?"
"I'm 51 and you are just 27. I'm 24 years older than you. How do you think this could work?"
"WHAT?", I said angry, "So you think THIS won't work?", I asked and pointed between us.
"That's not what I said, Skye.", he said still calm. "I meant that you could be my daughter."
"You're kidding, right?"
"Don't you think people will talk?"
"People talk all the time, Jeffrey! It sounds like you already gave up. I don't care what people say about me or us. If you stopped fighting for us, why should I continue?", I said seriously.
"I haven't given us up.", he said and took my hand. "Listen, Skye- You know in my business the image is just as important as the talent. So when you do anything, it will reflect on me too."
"You're unbelievable! I thought you saw something in us.", I said still angry and pulled my hands out off his.
