Fight song

"Skye, we are starting to-", Maria's voice rang behind me but stopped as I turned around.

I was STILL shocked by the words of Mister Morgan. I STILL didn't know what to say.

"Are you okay?", Maria asked worried and came to me.

I just nodded still not saying anything.

"Give me that thing!", she said and took my phone. "Okay, Mister Morgan. Whatever you said to Skye, she seems like she don't know what to say. So move your ASS here and FIX her!", she said pissed.

"I.. But..", Mister Morgan stuttered.

"No buts. COME. NOW!", she said and ended the call.

She put her arms around me pushed me back inside where we sat down.

"Here. Take this. You seem you could need it.", Maria said and gave me a glass in my hand.

"He said he wants me.", I said calm and monotone like I was in trance.

"Like want-want", she said mouning the first want. "Or WANT-want?", she now took my hand into hers and lift it up.

"Oh, come on, Maria.", I pushed her soft against her shoulder. "It sounded more like the second want.", I was now able to say normal.

"Yeah. But the second includes the first.", she said smirking and raised her eyesbrows up and down.

"You are unbelievable!", I said laughing and took a sip of my drink.

"That's soda water.", I said confused.

"Duh. I don't want you to be WASTED when Mister Morgan arrives.", she said and took a sip of her own drink.

"Well, thank you. But I really need a real drink!", I said, took her drink and drank all of it.

"Hey!"

"Calm down, girl. I'll get you a new one.", I said and stood up.

Half an hour later.

I was just singing karaoke with Maria, when I felt a presence entering the room. I turned around and spotted Mister Morgan at the front door of the restaurant.

We were singing "Fight song" from Rachel Platten. I sang it like I never sang it before: There was frustration in voice?!
