Prologue

Hi you may and may not know me. I am the one and only Howard Lining. I am in the time period when people who go to the moon and Mars are not considered astronauts anymore. Yes, this may seem surprising but it is true. In the time period I am living in there are malls on Mars. Oh, also I need to tell you something. I am going to live on Mars. Once upon a time that would seem cool but now it just means every time I call my friends there will be a lag of 3 or more seconds. My parents say I am not very enthusiastic, but honestly, it is just my opinion about my life. The only reason me and my boring family are moving from the moon to Mars is that my dad just needed a job with higher pay. I mean 3 million dollars means nothing nowadays. I mean that's enough to get the X-ro 598 ( That's the gaming device I use. ). So as I said my family is basically broke. Oh ya, I forgot I need you to introduce you to my family. I have an annoying sister like for most brothers she is born to make my day worse. I have my dad and mom. My dad is always at work or looking for work. When he is home we are asleep, and when we are awake he is gone again. So the last time I remember seeing him was almost 4 years ago. My mom on the other hand is always unhappy. I guess it is because she is always sleepy. I get my parents but I still do not understand why I have to leave the moon. I hope I am able to live a happy few months in this radical city named Excursion. I mean what jobs are there at Mars "Mining?"? If there were just any possibilities to stay on the moon then I would take it no matter how hard it is. But my luck has faded away and I know it. Right now I am at the launch base ready for the long 10-day journey to Mars. And going to blast off in 3... 2... 1...
