Always and Forever

Prologue

My name is Lily Hansen. I'm sixteen years old and I'm starting my junior year of high school.
Today is going to be a good day. I can feel it in my heart. Maybe it's just the first day of school excitement that I'm feeling, and I knew my older brother Evan wasn't excited at all. Even though he was the older sibling, I had to be the one to take care of him. He had severe depression and social anxiety disorder, which meant he was afraid of talking to people. He avoided social gatherings like the plague; I would go to school functions by myself, but my best friend Connor Murphy would always go with me. Connor was a senior like my brother, but the age difference between us never bothered him.
We met in middle school, and I was in seventh grade while Connor was in eighth. We were in the same English class, and one day we were both bored in class, so we started talking, and the rest is history. What would follow was the most challenging school year of my life, but I learned how important it is to savor each moment. This is my story.
