Ariana glanced up from her desk as she heard the voice of her boss talking, "Did you get those reports done yet? They have to be ready by Tuesday at the latest." He says straightening his blue striped tie. Ariana pulls a strand of loose hair behind her ear and grabs a stack of papers from the corner of her desk. She hits them on the table a few times to straighten them before she hands them to the tall, black-haired man. The man takes them before walking away with a content smile. Ariana sees a small slip of paper that must have fallen out of something, she picks it up and flips it over to say neat cursive writing scratched across it. The neat handwriting says, Meet me by the big birch tree in the park. I have something to show you. There was no name on the paper, despite how much she turned it over to check. She swore she recognized the handwriting from somewhere, but just couldn't place where. She set it down before glancing at the time. She had her break in a few minutes so she would go then, hoping the mysterious person would be at the tree.
A shadow loomed over the bench near the edge of the park. Ariana turned her green-eyed gaze towards the bench and spoke, "Who is there?" She asked, glancing around warily. She combed a slim hand through her hair as the tall figure of a woman in her late 30s appeared. "Hey, Ari.." Says the soft voice quietly. There was something oddly familiar about that voice, about the woman standing a few feet in front of her. Ariana's eyes traveled up and down the woman's tall figure but she still couldn't place where exactly she recognized her from. The woman smiled softly and slowly started to roll up her own sleeve to reveal a pale wrist covered in faded pink and white scars. They were crisscrossed all over both her wrists.
Ariana just stared at the woman as she revealed the scars. "Y..your skin..it's like mine..?" She stuttered out as she stared wide-eyed at the tall woman, still stuck on who this woman was. The woman had long dirty blonde hair and green eyes, a tall slim frame like Ariana's but her build was a bit bigger. She looked as though she had fought a tough battle with depression in the past and almost lost, but didn't let it win. "Hey, Ana.." She smiles softly.
Ariana's eyes widened as she immediately recognized the woman. The smile was so familiar and only one person called her Ana. Ariana stood there amazed before blinking and rubbing her eyes to know if she was seeing things or not. "E...Evelyn?!"
