They survey corps finally made it home. With more deaths than usual since Y/n wasn't out there as per usual she had spent most of the expedition sleeping off the pain from her ribs that were all bandaged in place.

Y/n laid there in horror though, as she heard each and every one of the screams of the soldiers she could've save, her body wanted to move and help. But she couldn't, she's never felt so stuck...so weak, so useless. Guilt had washed over her, and that's all she felt at the moment.

The people looked at the survey corp as they entered the walls, gasping in horror as they noticed the numbers go down.

"I though- I thought they were getting it together?" A man says.

"Yeah, perhaps the titans get more and more dangerous every day."

"But what about that women, the survey corps guardian angel-"

"Who knows, maybe something happened."

"Or maybe she wasn't as good as everyone thought she was."

Those were the things that stood out most to someone, Levi- it angered him, like how he was angry with Y/N that night in the rooftop. But he felt no remorse afterwards.

The crowd now say as the wagon came in, seeing the Yeagar women they all recognized for saving most people people angrily gathered up against the wagon that only had Y/N on it, she was laying there. Tired and emotionless spots of red around her bandages since she had also cut herself with the wires of the ODM gear.

"You! You didn't save my daughter!"

"My husband! How could you- you're good for nothing!"

"You're not as good as people said, look at you!"

Y/N remained laying there, she closed her eyes, why- why were they yelling at her. It was only one time, one time that she got injured. She didn't mean to fail everyone, it wasn't her fault her gear broke so why.

Why were they so mad at her?

Y/n felt her throat throb, tears threatening to spill from her eyes from the added guilt they poured onto her, along with the cart moving from their pushing.

A man was about to grab Y/N from her shirt, until a certain captain grabbed his wrist.

"I suggest you not touch her, or it'll not go well for you." The blonde captain glared down at the man. Who only shivered and backed off. His tall figure scaring off most of the people around the cart.

Erwin had got on the cart, sitting by Y/N as he made sure no one else had her hurt, but, physical harm wasn't done to her. But only buckets and buckets of mental harm were dropped onto her.

Erwin watched as the female laid there, tears spilling from her eyes as she stares at the sky. Her eyes showed so much emotion. So much pain and guilt. Erwin had gently caressed the women's head.

"Captain, I'm sorry..."

"Y/N, you know very well that the deaths that happened in this expedition wasn't your fault."

"But-"

"But nothing, our soldiers in the survey corp should know better than to rely on you so much. They only fed off of you."

She sniffled, the tears spilling from her eyes never stopping.

"But- I wanted to help, I wanted to save each and every one of them."

"Y/n, what do they give you in return? What do they do for you? Didn't you see how nobody got up- when YOU needed it? It was the bravery of the new three we had received. Don't you think it should've been the people you had saved in the past?"

Y/N thought for a moment, she didn't save other people for the sake of them respecting her, she never expected anything in return. The only thing that she ever wanted was then to be safe. She did it from the kindness of her heart. Not to be rewarded with anything.

"But, Captain...that's not why I do it, I don't want anything from them, I just wanted them to go home to their families..like they deserved to."

That's when it hit Erwin, he completely misunderstood Y/N's character, he thought her bright and playful aura was for her ego, and carefree personality. It was all from kindness, her happiness is what made Y/N herself. She never put on a mask to be someone she isn't. This was her, a kind, brave soul who wanted nothing more than everyone to be happy. No matter who it was.

"I see, I understand now. But please, don't think what happened was your fault Y/N. Alright?" Erwin gave a small smile, caressing the women's cheek.

Y/N nodded, she was so exhausted from being in constant pain, her eyes closed shut.

Erwin stares at the women, at first he was fond of her from her looks alone and the way she buttered him up. Which was out of character of him, but now he realized what kind of person she is, a TRUE kind person. Nothing fake, pure kindness emitted from they women.

And he now only realized it...

[Oh lord I'm sorry Erwin- but this will be Levi's women.]

I watched as Erwin looked at the now sleeping Y/n tenderly, does he like her or something? Why was he so concerned, unless he was like this towards all his squad members.

Not that I care, what happens with those two, is not my business, though something in the back of my brain is telling me to be bothered by it. I'll push that thought away.

Though, I'm glad that she didn't get harassed anymore by those filthy pigs. They don't know anything, those were the people who TRULY didn't know anything.

They were the oblivious ones, not Y/N. Now I see, now I know, everyone feels a different kind a pain, and hers was different than mine. It seems like, almost as if the day she joined this god forsaken place she was put on this pedestal of high expectations.

After all, why would I hear all these fascinating stories about her? And why would the people get so furious with one mistake. They only dumped the weights of their expectations on her.

I'm sorry Y/N, I see now that you're not the dumb oblivious spoiled girl, the kindness, the way she wanted Farlan, Isabelle and I in her lives, not because she felt pity for us. But because she genuinely wanted to include us in her life. It's hard to meet people, with an actual golden heart like hers.

[If anyone is wonder WHAT THE FUCK is Levi feeling, he likes you guys- he just too scared to admit it. And that like will turn into love]
