Macy's POV
Wow. I can't tell you guys what happened already. Obadiah died which was a good thing, because no one liked him. Me and Dad are closer than ever.
"You've all received the official statement of what occurred at Stark Industries last night. There have been unconfirmed reports that a robotic prototype malfunctioned and caused damage to the arc reactor. Unfortunately a member of Tony Stark's personal security staff Obadiah Stane was pronounced dead at the scene, he will be missed." The news reporter said and I snickered at her report. He definitely won't be missed, that's for sure. On the count, that no one liked him anyway.
"Iron Man. That's kind of catchy. It's got a nice ring to it. I mean, it's not technically accurate. The suit's a gold-titanium alloy, but it's kind of evocatice, the imagery anyway." Dad said and I leaned my head on his shoulder and he wrapped his arm around me, and kissed my head.
"At least it's better than gold-titanium alloy man." I said laughing a little as Dad put down the newspaper, that he was holding and wrapped me in his arms.
"Here's your alibi." Agent Coulson said as he walked into the room.
"Okay." Dad said as he grabbed the cards.
"Yours too Miss Macy." Agent Coulson said as he handed me my cards also.
"You were on your yacht." He also said and I slowly nodded my head.
"Yeah." Me and Dad said in unison.
"We have port papers that put you in Avalon all night, and sworn statements from 50 of your guests." Coulson said.
"See I was thinking maybe we should say it was just Pepper, me, and Macy alone on the island."
"Well that's what happened." Agent Coulson.
"All right." Dad said and I nodded my head as a response.
"Just read it, word for word." Agent Coulson said to Dad, and I.
"There's nothing about Stane here on both of them." Dad asked confused as he also looked at mine also, I am just as confused as he is.
"That's being handled. He's on vacation. Small aircraft have such a poor safety record." Coulson explained and I wasn't really paying attention, I was playing with the loose strands of my hair.
"But what about the whole cover story that isn't a bodyguard? He's my... I mean is that.... That kind of flimsy, don't you think?" Dad said stuttering a little.
"This isn't my first rodeo, Mr. Stark. You two just stick to the official statement, and soon, this will all be behind you." Phil Coulson said, and I gave him a weak smile and Jr returned it also.
"You've got 90 seconds."
"Agent Coulson? I just want to say thank you very much for all of your help." Mom said to Coulson.
"They what we do. You'll be hearing from us." Phil Coulson said to Mom, and Dad kissed my head.
"From the Strategic Homeland..." Mom said trailing off a little trying to remember their full name.
"Just call us S.H.I.E.L.D." Phil said correcting Mom and she nodded her head and he walked out of the room.
"Right. Let's get this show on the road." Mom and I nodded my head as a response.
"You know, it's actually not that bad. Even I don't think I'm Iron Man." Dad said and I grabbed his hand.
"You're not Iron Man." Mom said to Dad.
