Ch.8 Escape and Panic

(Dream's POV)
I wake up feeling hungry so I go down stairs to get food, well I was untill I bump into someone holding a tray of food. "Ack, S-sorry Dream I uh didn't mean to!" I see George holding the tray trying to recover from the impact, "It's fine, what's with the tray? Going to your room to eat?" I asked him curious to why he would eat up there "Yah! Yah I uh wanted some time alone..." He tells me making me nod "mmm ok well come back down when you're done, I must speak with you and Sapnap about the 'negotiation' with Wilbur tomorrow" he nods and walks off, but instead of going upstairs he wen to the basement 'What is he doing' I knew something was wrong cause One George never eats in his room and Two when he wants time alone he is usually in a mood. I followed him keeping quiet to make sure he doesn't know, as we head down stairs to the cells I hear George call out, "Alright, heres some food I'm sorry it took so long, I ran into Dream" "It's fine, thank you for getting us food, but shouldn't you be guarding?" I hear one of our hostages speak 'must be (Y/n), she was the only one who, at least, stayed calm' "How's Wilbur and Tommy?" I hear Tubbo speak up "Wilbur is stressed and Tommy keeps trying to fight his way to you guys, but gets beat by Dream, pretty roughly too" George tells him 'Oh come on, I wasn't to hard on him, he needed to learn his lesson' I frown "George, can you give Wilbur a message for me?" (y/n) asks him "Of course, what do you need to tell him" "Well I-" "I think it's best if Wilbur doesn't hear from you my dear" I cut her off reveling myself surprising (Y/n) and Tubbo but shocking George making him freeze up "Care to explain yourself George or do I need to remind you of what happens when you disobey my orders?".

(Your POV)
I watched as George struggled to explain himself as he scrambles to get up, "I-it's not what you think I-I was just-" "Just what? Going to your post to guard or trying to help the enemy?" Normally you wouldn't notice his expression behind his mask, but you believed you could feel and see the evil smile behind that happy smile mask. I look to see Tubbo shaking, I could tell he sensed the dark aura from Dream, we heard rumours of Dream being a merciless leader, that all who disobey him gets severely punished, which is why Wilbur built L'manburg to escape people like Dream. Dream stepped twords us and infront of George, he had his axe out and I know this wouldn't end good. "Dream I swear! They just needed food!" Before Dream could swing i grabbed his green hoodie and pulled him hard into the bars making him drop the axe, "Gah" "Get out of here George!" I yelled at him, he took a moment hesitation but I gave him a look that made him run. I grabbed Dream's axe and held it to his throat, he looked at me then said "Impressive! You managed to let George escape, but now you are in trouble" I could feel the smirk he has behind that stupid mask. "If I were you I wouldn't be so hard on your allies, you never know the outcome" I told him while Tubbo just watched in amazement, Dream just shrugged and stayed there with no worries what so ever, "Tubbo do you see any keys on him?" I asked as Tubbo checked and grabbed the keys, "YUP!" He said cheerfully. As Tubbo unlocked the door I made sure to have Dream keep his distance, he just put his hands up and watched me as I lead Tubbo to where Dream and George came from "I'm keeping the axe tho" I told Dream as we leave the basement. "(Y/n)! The door to the outside is locked, and we don't have the right key!" Tubbo panicked but I lightly grab his shoulder and said "Then we'll just bust our way out" and I took the axe out of my inventory ready to swing, well, until i was shot in my shoulder. "FUCK THAT HURT" I say dropping the axe, Tubbo shouted at whoever shot me and grabbed the axe to defend me, I look back at the soon to be dead man only to see Dream and Sapnap with a crossbow. "That's far enough" Sapnap says ready to shoot another arrow, "Stay back, I got an axe!" Tubbo shouts at them trying to be brave, I whisper to Tubbo so quiet that Dream or Sapnap couldn't hear, "I'm about to do something stupid ok? I want you to run as fast as you can, I will be right behind you." He nods and I grab the axe and used it to break the doors handle and lock, Sapnap quickly realized what I was doing and shot at Tubbo to slow us down but I pushed Tubbo out the door and shielded him with my back, causing me to take the hit.
