Third Person 

Three days have passed since the evasion of Orochimaru and the death of the third hokage. Luckily due to the extra strength the leaf had, there wasn't much casualties. The damage had been so little that it was fixed in no time, the kages had decided to stay and pay their respects for the Hokage by attending his funeral which was today. During the three days, Naruto had locked himself in his apartment and bordered it up with seals. He didn't want to be bothered during the three days.

When the time of the funeral came around, Naruto had cleaned up and dressed himself in all black attire. He stared at his headband and decided to leave it off, he put his hair up in a ponytail and let a few bangs loose. He wanted to let his hair grow, so that he could pull off one of Pervy Sage's jutsu's. Walking to his door, he looked in the small mirror and cringe slightly. He looked horrible but he didn't care, sighing to himself he slipped his shoes on before leaving his apartment.

At the funeral, although it didn't start many people were looking around for a young Uzumaki. They were worried for him, nobody had been able to get into his apartment. When they asked the Sannin how was that, the only response they got was "He sealed himself away." Let's just say a certain Nara and Uchiha wasn't happy about that. "Where is he? I'm worried for him." Fu mumbled as she paced back in forth in front of the Konoha 12 and jinchuriki's. Gaara sigh to himself before willing his sand to stop Fu's movements.

"Can you not pace, you're giving me anxiety." Gaara spoke as he rubbed his arm, Fu rolled her eyes "As if you anxiety wasn't already through the roof when they said Naru sealed himself away." Fu spoke and now it was time for Gaara to roll his eyes "Because the only time he sealed himself away was when Mishina got seriously hurt. He blamed himself for that." Gaara spoke and Shikamaru raised an eyebrow "What do you mean?" Gaara and Fu looked at one another before glancing at Shikamaru

Flashback - 3 years ago

Naruto sigh to himself as he kept watch over the area, this was his and Vixen what? 10 mission together and he could never fathom how tired she gets, I guess that's due to her being around a Nara for so long. Sighing once again, he leaned back against the trunk of the tree and had his chakra sent out to detect any enemy shinobi. They always made mistakes in mission, but Naruto would be damned if his older sister got injured because of him.

Although sensory can drain a regular shinobi, Naruto was a walking chakra pool. He closed his eyes and allowed himself to seem open but in reality he was tense and ready for anything. But there was something he wasn't ready for, he felt something slither on his lap which caused him to open his eyes and look down. In his lap was a regular looking snake, Naruto raised an eyebrow and placed his hand out. The snake automatically went up his arm curled around his bicep.

Naruto looked at it in wonder but quickly as it came it opened his mouth and sank its teeth into Naruto's arm which caused him to hiss in pain and stab the snake in his head. "Got damn it." Naruto cursed to himself as he peeled the dead snake off his arms. He quickly got up and went towards where Vixen was certainly laying down. As he walked over, his vision started to get blurry and he stumbled over himself.

"Damn it, it was a poisonous snake." Naruto muttered 'Can't you heal this Kurama?' Naruto asked and Kurama grunted 'What the hell do you think I'm doing gaki.' Kurama spoke back and Naruto grunted in pain as he reached Vixen, he saw her sitting up and rubbing her eyes before looking over to his direction "Kurama? You okay?" Vixen asked and Naruto swayed "Poison, enemy." Naruto muttered his eyes rolled to the back of his head and he passed out. "KURAMA!" Vixen yelled as she caught him before his head connected to the ground. She lightly slapped his face to see if he would wake up but he wasn't responding.
