face the music

Laura began to feel anxious as it was nearly 11 in the evening and Olivia still hadn't returned. "We should have been more understanding. Maybe then she wouldn't have ran away", Laura stated as she face Billy. "She will be back. How long can she stay without any money? If i go and check at Spencer's, then will that out your mind at ease?" "Yes please check. I'll come with you. Where else could she have gone?" They both raced to the car and drove to Graces house. Laura had hoped that Olivia was there, safe and sound. knock knock. "I'm coming", Grace yelled as she made her way to the door. She raised her eyebrows when she saw Laura and Billy standing their impatiently. "Are you okay? Do you want to come in?" "We're looking for Olivia, can you call here here please?",asked Billy.
I think it's best if you come in. They were even more anxious now. They sat down on the couch and waited for Grace to call Olivia. "She's not here. I thought she went home with you last night." Laura stood up in shock. Where could she have possibly gone? Realising Grace was feeling very perplexed right at this minute, Billy began to explain what had happened. "She left this morning and we haven't seen her since. We thought she would come here to see Spencer maybe." Grace was even more confused now. "Why would she see..." Grace was cut off as Spencer opened his bedroom door and entered the living room to watch a movie to help put him to sleep. He felt the tension rise and regretted coming out. "Hey is everything okay? What's going on?" Everyone was facing him, filling his mind with questions. "Billy says that Olivia ran out this morning and they haven't seen her since. Have you seen her at all? Had she texted you maybe?" Spencer's face soon changed to a worried expression. "I haven't seen her since last night. She texted me this morning though, saying that she was going to explain everything to me later and tell you both the truth about what happened so i assume you know. I'm sorry for covering up for her but i had no choice. If i didn't, she would be in jail right now." "I don't care. That was not your decision to make. You should have told the truth. I'm disappointed in you Spencer but yes she told us the truth and i explained to her that you were no longer welcome near her", billy confessed.

"W- What. You know that Olivia is important to me so why would you say that?"Laura and Grace spectated as the tension and anger between both of them rose." "Yes um aware. A bit too important for my liking. So i have decided that this is what's best for her. Now that i know she is not here i think it's time me and Laura leave. Thanks for your help Grace." "I'll come with you to help find her", offered Spencer." "I think you've done enough helping." Billy turned to exit before mentioning to Spencer that he is no longer welcome on the team until further notice. "You can't do this to me!", Spencer argued. Billy ignore his defence as he left the house.
Billy and Laura decided it was best for them to return the search when there head was in the right mindset and they would look for her after school finished tomorrow. They had hoped she would still attend school which would give Jordan a chance to check up on her.

——— After school the next day ———

Spencer had just finished his last lesson (maths) and the bell had rang, allowing him to make his way to practice. He remembered that he was suspended but he thought that maybe Billy had changed his mind or that he could change it by talking to him. He knocked on Coaches door before the other players had arrived. "Hey coach can i talk to you?" "I thought i told you that your not welcome here until i say so. Unless you know where Olivia is, i suggest you leave." Spencer disregarded his comment and took a seat anyways. "Coach i need you to know that i'm willing to do anything to help Olivia recover from her addiction. I'm gonna be there for her. I promise.", Spencer said sympathetically. "I don't want your help like i told you yesterday or is that another thing you forgot." "Please just let me.." "YOU KNEW AND YOU COVERED FOR HER!" Spencer closed his eyes and jumped back in his seat in surprise . He knew that Billy was angry but he had never shouted at him like this before. Spencer wanted to cry but he couldn't let him know that he got to her. Him shouting only made Spencer's intent to help Olivia grow. Spencer stood up from his seat and left Billy's office. He found all his teammates scattered around the door, listening to his conversation.

"Hey Spencer are you okay? I heard what happen in there. I never thought you could do anything that bad that he would react like that", Chris commented. "Yeah well i guess i messed up pretty bad this time." Spencer made his way past his teammates with his head glued to the floor in disappointment. Just as he was about to leave this horror, one of the teammates made a comment which made his blood boil. "I guess you banging the coaches daughter isn't what you expected huh. Maybe i'll have better luck." A smirk spread across the teammates face but was quickly wiped of when Spencer punched his face with all the anger that he had built up. The fall to the ground was loud enough for Billy to leave his office and check in what's going on. Realising what had happened, Billy called out for Spencer to come to him. However, Spencer ignored him just as Billy did the night before and left the room.

He decided that after that conundrum, he only had one choice. To talk to Olivia. To face the music....
