━━━━━━━♡♤♡━━━━━━━"This is the best meal I've ever had!" I say, my mouth full of chicken nuggets and a smile on my lips. "Thank you for the food," I turn to Noah and realize he's staring at me too. He giggles at my muffled words and takes another bite of his cheeseburger. We ended up getting some fast food and we're now eating it while watching the sunset on top of a hill. I don't know how he knows this place but I love it. The air is getting cold but there's a hot breeze that keeps us warm. It's romantic and it feels like a date but neither of us wants to admit it. I finish my nuggets and grab the hoodie I brought in case I got cold.
"Hey, are you cold?" Noah asks, curious about why I got my hoodie out.
"Yeah, a little bit but it's okay," I answer honestly.
"I got a few blankets in the car, I'll be right back," Noah stands up and walks to his car to get three blankets. He gives one to me, puts one on the ground for us to sit on and he keeps the other one for himself. I stare at him, all wrapped up in his blanket like a baby. The orange light of the sun reflects on his face, making him look surreal. I bring my eyes back to the sky, the clouds now coloured in a pink shade, since I don't want him to catch me staring.
"This is really beautiful, how do you know this place?" I sound dreamy when I ask him.
"My parents brought me here for a picnic when I was younger. I've been coming here a lot since then, it's like my hideout," I hum at his response. "I've never brought anyone else here before," he adds quietly. I'm surprised by his words. It makes me feel special to hear him say that since if what he says is true, I'm the first one he's bringing here. Lost in my thoughts, I blankly stare at the sky, not noticing that the guy sitting beside me is now looking at me the same way I was looking at him earlier. It's getting dark but the pinkish tone of the sunset is still visible through the clouds.
"You know you're beautiful, right? I know I've told you before but I don't want you to forget it," Noah's deep voice brings me back to earth. I look at him, completely dumbfounded, eyes wide and mouth slightly open. His eyes are full of stars, looking at me like I've never been looked at. My hearts melt on the spot, making me unable to respond to anything he says, but I still hear him giggle at my reaction. "And you're very cute." He says with a hint of playfulness. My jaw slightly drops and my usually pale cheeks turn to bright pink. I hide my face in the blanket. Noah starts laughing, a beautiful full laugh. When I get back to my normal state, I get out of my hiding spot and just look at him. The sky is now completely dark, only illuminated by thousands of stars. I hear Noah laying down beside me to look at the stars so I do the same. I suddenly feel a gush of cold wind and I shiver a little. Noah looks so warm though...
"I'm really cold, can I, hum, hug you?" my voice comes out way quieter than I had expected it to. I know this wouldn't be the first time we cuddle today but asking for it is making me really shy.
