An irreverent short story, retelling Lewis Carroll's classic poem "Jabberwocky", but in space.

This short story is written for the Team of Dreams "Short Dreams 2021" contest, using the prompt "A classic fairytale, only in space", and just for fun. I chose Lewis Carroll's classic poem "Jabberwocky", from his 1871 novel "Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There". The poem is reprinted in sections at the beginning of each chapter.
The story is somewhat experimental for me and may be a bit of a rough draft in parts. But as always, I welcome comments, corrections, suggestions, and general words of wisdom. If you do like a chapter, please click the little star.
