Marinette heard her alarm blaring in her ears.

"Marinette, you know it's time to wake up," Tikki said.

"Just give me five more minutes!" Marinette groaned. She had been up late last night, thinking about Chat Noir. Although it was the first day of school, she couldn't help but think what her relationship with Chat Noir would be like if Adrien wasn't there. She tried to brush the feeling off, as it felt wrong to think of anyone other than Adrien. Then again, she wasn't in a relationship with Adrien. She thought that maybe it was time to move on.

"Marinette, wake up! You have school!" Tikki yelled in her ears, resulting in her jolting up.

That woke her up fully, so she started to get dressed and ready for the day. She wore her usual outfit, with her usual hairstyle of two pigtails. She bolted out of the building, which got her to school barely on time.

"Hey, Marinette! You look ti-"

"Tired? Yeah, I couldn't really sleep last night. Wait, is it noticeable?" Marinette asked Alya.

"No, it's not bad."

Ms. Bustier was their first period class, and class was just starting.

"Where is Adrien?" Marinette thought. Right as she thought that, the blond haired boy walked through the door.

He definitely got hotter over the summer. He was tanner, his green eyes somehow brighter, and his hair was messy. Marinette had barely seen him all summer. But, as she saw him walk in, she couldn't help but think of Chat Noir as well. Her partner for such a long time. His eyes were bright green too, and his hair a little longer than Adrien's. She was torn between Adrien and Chat.

"Marinette! Hello?" Alya yelled at her. It was time for attendance.

"Oh! Um, present!" Marinette exclaimed. Ms. Bustier continued calling out the names of her classmates, but Marinette just sat her head on her hand and groaned.

School had now ended for the day, and Marinette and Alya were heading to Marinette's house to study. On the way out, Marinette could have sworn she heard someone calling her name. Sure enough, someone was. It was Adrien.

"Marinette, hey! I haven't seen you like, all summer. How are you?"

"Oh, uh-" She looked at Alya and then looked back at Adrien.

"I'm good! Yeah. How was your summer?"

She thought to herself how easy it was to get out a normal sentence. Was she losing feelings, or was it just getting easier? Through her thought process, she forgot to listen to Adrien talk about his summer. Alya luckily caught on, kind of, and decided to start walking home with Marinette.

"We gotta go. We'll see you tomorrow! Bye!" Alya said to Adrien, turning Marinette around and starting the walk home.

"What was that all about? You got a sentence out without even stuttering, and then you completely spaced out! Girl, what were you thinking about?

"Oh.. I um.."

Alya didn't know about Chat Noir and her over the summer. It seemed he was a little more lonely this summer, so he would visit Marinette's balcony most nights and talk to her. Over the summer, they got a lot closer, but never left Marinette's house as he said it was dangerous and Hawk Moth could possibly use her against him. She agreed, that was smart, and was proud of him for thinking ahead and also keeping his identity a secret.

"I don't know... I think that I'm just... Less obsessed with him now. Maybe?" Marinette didn't even know if what she was saying was true.

"You have been obsessed with him for like, three years, up until this summer. Did he do something?"

"No, he didn't do anything."

"Okay..."

They walked into Marinette's room. Alya noticed that something was different. When they hung out, they usually either went to Alya's apartment or different parts around Paris, as she was scared that Chat Noir would come in while Alya was over.

"Where did all of your Adrien posters go? Wow, I guess you really are over him."

Marinette let out an awkward laugh. Was she over him?

She studied with Alya for a few hours, but suddenly in the corner of her eye saw the time on her phone. It was 6, which was usually the time Chat showed up.

"Um, Alya, you need to leave! I forgot to um.. Take my dog on a walk! I'll see you tomorrow! Bye!" Marinette pushed her out of the door, and let out a sigh as she shut the door. That was a close one. As she walked back to her room, she heard a knock on her skylight. It was Chat Noir.
