Ch 3 Work and Training

-In the kitchen of Roswaal's mansion

Gogeta and Subaru are watching Rem and Ram peel potatoes and prepare other food. Gogeta struggling not to drool, and Subaru struggling to get the technique down.

"Come on Subaru, the technique isn't that hard." Gogeta mocked.

He then took the potato and cut it with immense speed. "See? It's not- huh?"
He went to hold up the potato, only to find a shredded potato. And then the broken blade of the knife fell from the ceiling and landed on the table in front of him.

"Maybe try slowing it down a bit?" Subaru teased.

Eventually, after half an hour, Gogeta managed to get the technique down, with Subaru following suit.

-At the dinner table

Everyone at the table was in complete awe with how quickly Gogeta was scarfing down food, with such speed that one could say he was inhaling it.

"Wait what? We're all out?" Gogeta said whilst looking somewhat apprehensive.

"Unfortunately it would appear you did eat everything we had left in the pantry," Rem responded, holding a hand up to her mouth.

"Oh..." Gogeta was visibly feeling guilty about having eaten so much.

"N-No matter, we can just go into town to buy more food..." Ram was still very cautious of Gogeta.

Right before the group of four leaves to the city, Gogeta went over to Ram and decided to set her straight, as to have her not be scared anymore. "Listen, Ram, I know you are scared of me, but there's no need to be afraid, I'm not going to hurt you, even if what you did was a bit mean." He spoke to her in a calming manner.

Something about the way Gogeta spoke resonated with Ram, and the anxiety in her face instantly vanished, and in its place, a face of relief was shown. (From here on out, Ram is more friendly than in canon, but still won't hesitate to mock Subaru, whom she still calls Barusu.)

They eventually arrive at the city, and Gogeta is the one to play with the kids this time around, but he challenges them all to try and land one hit on him, to which they think he is cocky.

"Aww man, he is super fast!"

The kids were all in awe, because even sneak attacking proved to be completely useless against him, and each one of them was exhausted.

"Don't feel too bad, for kids you all did pretty well," Gogeta said whilst holding a thumb up.

The kids all climbed onto him, and the villagers in the surrounding area stood surprised at the fact he wasn't even losing any balance. Not even budging an inch.

Then a puppy comes up to him from one of the children and tries to bite Gogeta, but his teeth fail to even scratch his skin. Suddenly, Gogeta senses dark energy within it, and with zero hesitation, tosses it away. To the shock of the kids, but he waves at them to get behind him. Suddenly, it begins transforming into a massive beast, a giant monster with some resemblance to a dog.

Gogeta doesn't waste any time, and charges at the beast, grabbing it and throwing it away from the village. He then takes off after it, inadvertently knocking down the kids as he did so. Petra stood at the sidelines, a hand on her chest as she looked at Gogeta, with a blush on her face.

In a field far from the village, but still, within viewing distance, Gogeta squares off against the beast, dodging its attacks, and noticing it has company, in the form of more demon-looking dogs. After that, he wastes no time in dispatching them all, after which he returned to the village.
