The sea was a vast place filled with mysteries and adventures. And most of all, it held that one thing he had searched for all his short-lived life.
Freedom.
So, his joy was great when a Pirate Captain came to him and held out a welcoming hand, willingly inviting him aboard his ship despite the obvious fact that M/n may not be as useful.
But still, the brunette wanted to help in any way he can. So when a chance arises, he will for sure take it.
Watching his steps as he carefully climbed up the large ship, he nearly slipped and fell off when he saw a boy with a bright and big red nose poking his business in M/n's own personal space.
"Huh? Who are you?" The blue haired boy about his age asked.
M/n took in deep breaths as he composed himself before hopping on the the wooden craft, sitting flat and spread across the boards as he directed his eyes up the sky.
Then the red nose blocked his view again.
"Oi, who are you?" He asked once more, squinting an eye at the boy with a suspicious look. "Or did you sneak up while the Captain is gone?"
Pausing, the blue haired boy realized the idea and started freaking out.
"Oh, no. What if you really did sneak in? Captain Roger will kill me if I let a stranger get in the ship." He started pacing, panicking. M/n sweatdropped before waving his hands, stopping the boy to garner his attention.
Buggy was actually contemplating on throwing him out in the sea.
"Erm. . ." He tried starting, but he found his voice and will get lost on the way. He always had a problem with speaking so openly, mainly because the people in the island always told him to shut up, ruining his confidence to speak smoothly.
"What? Go and explain why you're here already."
"You see, the Captain. . . He— he invited me on board. You don't have to worry, he was the one who. . . Who told me to get on while they check the stacks."
"Speak properly for god's sake." The red nose complained, smacking a hand on his back that was meant for encouragement but instead brought a little pain.
"I'm sorry." M/n immediately bowed down and apologize, quick to stand up on his feet.
Again, the red nose was taken aback and started taking steps away from the weird brunette. "Oi, why are you apologizing?" He asked warily.
"I'm sorry!" M/n exclaimed again, bowing down deeper.
Suddenly, laughter joined them as a red haired boy who was also about their age came to hop on, slinging an arm around the newcomer while finding boisterous amusement.
