"your hair!" sean gasped as brooklyn opened the car door and climbed into the passenger side of the car before throwing her suitcase in the backseat.
"do you like it?" brooklyn smiled as she gave sean a hug.
"it's so... pink, you look gorgeous as ever!" sean told her with a smile.
"i wanted a change." brooklyn admitted as sean nodded.
this was the first time brooklyn's been back in california in almost four years. she hasn't seen any of her friends since the day she left except for sean and emma who'd occasionally come to visit every once in a while.
it was extremely rare for anyone to text in their old group chat, but god did she miss it.
brooklyn and rob were still together in england, but things haven't been the same between them for the past couple of weeks, they started arguing and fighting a lot, some nights rob wouldn't even come home, leaving brooklyn up all night worrying about him.
brooklyn needed a break, which sean also forced her to leave for a few weeks, so here she was, in la once again.

"sean i told you if i agreed to come down, i did not want to see tom or jacob." brooklyn rolled her eyes as sean parked out of toms apartment building.
"well look where we are." sean flashed her a smile, before forcing her to get out of the car.
the two walked inside, and all the memories came back to brooklyn as she saw the place again, the lobby, the hallways, everything.
sean grabbed her hand and forced her to the elevator and up to the third floor, and when brooklyn's eyes landed on his apartment door and she nearly lost it already, it hasn't even been five minutes yet she was ready to cry.
sean knocked on the door as brooklyn stood behind him, preparing herself for everyone she was about to see again.
sean had told everyone to meet at toms apartment tonight, but no one knew why.
as footsteps walked closer to the door, brooklyn's heart sunk.
"hey! oh my god." a familiar blonde headed girl gasped as her eyes landed on the other girl, "brooklyn?" evanna gasped, causing everyone in the apartment to be shocked at the name they all just heard.
"brooklyn?" another voice questioned.
evanna immediately pushed past sean giving her old friend the biggest hug. it felt nice being the girls arms again, something brooklyn missed dearly as she didn't have many friends in england.
seconds later the two separated and brooklyn walked inside, the group of friends could barely believe that the now pink haired girl was here standing in front of them.
she went around giving everyone a hug, until she landed on tom. she just gave him an awkward smile until tom got up and gave her a hug, something she wasn't expecting, but deep down, glad he did.
as his arms wrapped around her, every part of her that hated him slowly faded away, it felt so good to be in his arms.
"tooklyns back everyone! there's still a chance!" dan shouted from across the room causing a brown headed girl brooklyn's never seen before to suck her teeth.
"it's really great to see you again." tom told her as they pulled away.
"yeah, you too." brooklyn replied only before looking at the brunette girl who was sitting next to tom.
"you must be brooklyn." she said holding out her hand, "i'm jade, toms girlfriend, i've heard a lot about you."
brooklyn was taken aback a bit by the girls words but shook her hand politely, "it's nice to meet you, i've never heard about you before." brooklyn smirked as a laugh escaped a few peoples lips. jades face grew angry as brooklyn turned away from her.
"where's jacob?" brooklyn looked around changing the subject.
"um, i don't know he said he'd be back later on." oliver said as brooklyn took a seat next to emma.
"so brooklyn," rupert spoke, "how are things in england? how're you and rob?"
"england is lovely, i love it there." she smiled, "rob and i are doing just fine aswell."
"it's good to hear that." louis smiled.
"how's georgia and the baby?" brooklyn asked, making conversation.
everyone just talked, enjoying everyone's company, but brooklyn couldn't help but notice how jade kept giving everyone dirty looks and sucking her teeth in, as bad as brooklyn wanted to say something to her. she decided not too.
