"You are the love that came
Without warning
You had my heart
Before I could say 'no'"

Phoebe woke when something shifted beside her.

She was pretty sure pillows didn't move, and Willow would be too light to shift the bed. Plus, the beagle usually slept by her feet. No, something was beside her. She immediately sat up in bed, frantically reaching for the gun underneath her pillow, only to find it wasn't there.

Her bullet wound protested at the quick movements, and she gritted her teeth in frustration, trying not to cry out in pain. Then her eyes landed on the peaceful, sleeping face of Spencer Reid. His light curls were fanned out on the pillow as the soft sounds of his breath whooshing in and out of him became audible. He looked so much younger when he was asleep, and Phoebe was somewhat glad she didn't wake him when she panicked.

She also didn't know what to do with him.

Facing the embarrassment of waking up next to a team mate was not something she did. And even though they only watched movies last night, there still seemed to be something terribly intimate about sharing a bed- a sofa bed- with Reid. God, if Morgan ever finds out, I'd never hear the end of it.

As if on cue, a knock sounded at the door, effextively stirring Reid from slumber. No, no, no, no. Phoebe scrambled to get up from the sofa bed just as Reid came to his senses. Please don't let it be anyone from the BAU, Phoebe prayed as she headed for the door. Meanwhile, Reid was busy looking at his surroundings and trying to remember how he got there. Then his eyes landed on a beagle sleeping across his leg, and everything clicked into place.

Phoebe had reached the door and looked through the peak hole to see who could be bothering her so early in the morning. When she saw flashes of red hair and green eyes, she sighed and opened the door. "Kate," Phoebe greeted, looking at her little sister standing in the hallway.

Kate beamed at Phoebe, completely ignoring the fact that her sister's hair was a mess and her eyes were only half-open. "Hi sis, glad I could catch you this morning. I was hoping we could grab some co-"

She stopped mid-sentence when she saw the man walking up behind her sister, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. A very tall, good-looking man. "Oh, I didn't realize you had company this morning," Kate pointed out.

Phoebe felt her cheeks flush knowing where her sister's thoughts were headed. Reid, on the other hand, was curious about the woman standing in Phoebe's doorway. He heard something about a sister, and she did look very much like Phoebe with her wild red hair and flashing green eyes.

"Come on in, Kate. I need to go change if we're getting coffee," Phoebe spoke, not yet in the mood to explain everything to her younger sister.

Reid waved at Kate awkwardly as she stepped inside the apartment. He was now feeling slightly embarrassed, as if he was intruding on a private moment. He knew he shouldn't have fallen asleep last night, and when he woke up early this morning with Phoebe still sleeping comfortably beside him, he should've left.

But looking at her serene expression and her red hair falling across her face, Reid couldn't find it in himself to wake her up. Phoebe rarely got to rest, and she needed it after the last case they had. Plus, he couldn't leave without saying goodbye. There was still something he needed to ask her.

So he followed the two red heads into the apartment, trying his best not to interrupt them. He was surprised to find Phoebe fixing up the sofa bed, and he rushed to help her. "You really shouldn't be doing this on your own," Reid murmured before he could stop himself. One of these days, he was sure Phoebe would hit him for being an overbearing mother hen.
