My daddy said you wasn't worth a lick. When it came to brains you got the short end of the stick. But he was wrong and honey you are too - Trisha Yearwood - She's In Love With The Boy
"Go to your room!" Doyoung told his sixteen year old daughter, Seola. "I'm going to have some words with that boy." Seola was holding Hongseok's hand, as they standing in the living room. Seola just came home and it was midnight.
"But Appa," began Seola, as Doyoung cut her off.
"Now young lady." Seola let go of Hongseok and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"Don't worry, we are going to be all right," Hongseok told Seola, as Doyoung was seeing some red.
"Kim Seola, go to your room right now." Seola went to her room, as Doyoung just stared at Hongseok. Momo went over to her husband to calm him down.
"Doie, please control your temper," Momo told him, as she placed her hands on his arm. "This is the first time she been late and..."
"Momo, this is between us men." Momo just sighed at her husband, as she let go of him. "Go take some sense in that child of ours. I am going to have a heart-to-heart talk with this young man." Momo just looked at Hongseok and mouth an apology to him. Hongseok just nodded to her. Momo went to her daughter's room, as Seola was sitting on her bed, holding a pillow. She looked up to see Momo coming in the room and sat down next to her.
"Eomma, we just lost time and we didn't mean to break curfew," began Seola, as Momo smiled at her.
"Sweetie it's all right. This is your first time," Momo told her, giving her a hug. "Your Appa is just overprotective, yet he should know we were in the same boat as well when we were your age." Momo looked at her daughter and spoke about their past.
.....
"I don't like that boy," Momo's father said, watching his sixteen year old daughter, Momo, hanging out with Doyoung in the backyard."Oh honey, they are perfectly fine. Doyoung is a nice boy. Good grade, very talented." Doyoung hand Momo some daisies, as she smiled at him.
"He isn't good for my baby girl."
"Our daughter is growing up and it's good that she found a nice boy."
"She could have done well with that boy...Yuta?" Her mother just sighed, as her father kept staring at them.
...
"You bring my daughter hone after midnight," he told them, as they were sitting on the couch in the living room. Doyoung and Momo didn't get home until fifteen minutes after midnight from the movies. Her father has been waiting for Momo to come home and caught them both trying to sneak in."Honey, they were a little late," his wife spoke but he was too focus on Doyoung.
"I knew you were trouble for the beginning," he was pointing at Doyoung, as Momo was holding his hand. "You are turning my little girl against me!"
"Appa, that's not true," she told him, looking at Doyoung. "He is the best thing that had happen to me. I love him." Doyoung looked at Momo in shock at her confession. "He is going to be the one for me."
"Over my dead body," he father spoke up. "I forbid..."
"Jongkook, that is quite enough," his wife said, moving to her husband. "You are not going to ruined our daughter's happiness." She pointed her finger on his chest. "After all we were in their same position as well when we were their age." Momo and Doyoung looked at her parents, as her mother spoke.
"My father didn't like you as well, Jongkook. He always said when it came to brains you had the short end of the stick. You were never going to be enough to keep me happy he said. Well honey, he was wrong and you are wrong too. Momo looks at Doyoung the way I still look at you, with love." Jongkook stared at his wife in disbelief, as she went to the young couple.
"Next time call us ahead that you are going to be late. I trust the two of you. I do trust you Doyoung to never hurt my baby." Doyoung nodded, as Momo squeezed his hand. "But you do, this mama bear will show you to your final resting place." Doyoung just nodded again, as she pat their hands. "You have five minutes to say bye. It is quite late and I bet your parents are sorry for you Doyoung."
"Eomma..." began Momo, as she gave Momo a kiss on her head.
"I will talk some senses into your father. Just be happy you are in love."
.....
"Do you see we have been in your situation, so it's time to knock some sense in your father." Momo took Seola's arm and they went back to the living room, see Doyoung still nagging at Hongseok."That is quite enough, Doyoung," Momo told him, as Seola ran over to Hongseok, giving him a hug.
"Didn't I tell you to go to your room? You know this boy isn't good and..."
"Funny, I remember someone telling someone the same thing a long time ago," Momo said, going to Doyoung, as he turn to look at his wife.
"I don't want your parents to fight," whispered Hongseok to his girlfriend, "I should leave..." Seola made him stay and smile at him.
"Watch."
"I clearly remember something in our relationship a long time ago. Oh right my daddy said that you weren't good to me. He also mention when it came to brains, you got the short end of the stick," said Momo, speaking the words her mother used on her father back in the day. Doyoung knew where this was going, as he remember her father telling him this. "Well he was wrong and honey, you are too. You see Seola looks at Hongseok, the way I still look at you, with love." Doyoung closed his eyes, remembering that night where he thought it could be the end of their relationship. He looked at Momo, as she was smirking at him.
"Sweetie, I'm sorry."
"You knew my Eomma warm you that once we have our own children, everything changes. Well she was right, you are acting like an overprotective father." Momo turned to the young couple and smile. "You are going to be fine but right now Hongseok you need to go home. We shall talk tomorrow more about everything." Seola kissed Hongseok on the cheek and walked him to the door.
"I can't believe I did this," Doyoung said, as Momo wrapped her arms around him. "I even promise I would never be like your father."
"Eomma said once you have children it changes everything." She gave Doyoung a kiss on the cheek, as footsteps could be heard from the hallway.
"Eomma, Appa...I can't sleep," spoke a 10 year old Taeyong, as he went to his mother. Momo let go of Doyoung and picked her son up.
"Let's get you some warm milk and back to bed." She went to the kitchen with him, as Seola went to Doyoung and hug him.
"Little bit, I'm sorry I went off, I don't want to see my baby girl grow up," he told his daughter.
"I understand, Appa, but I have to grow up sooner or later. You are always going to be the number one man in my life." Seola kissed him on the cheek, as he smiled. "I just hope you do the same thing with Taeyong so it's equal."
"The Seo boy already making claim to our Yongie at this age. Another six years, if that boy is still around, he will get the same talking." Momo came back in the room, holding a sleepy Taeyong.
"And you will have to remind once again. Seola, take your brother to his bed and you go to sleep as well." She nodded and took her brother from Momo and went down the hallway.
"Without you around it would a disaster," Fououng told Momo, giving her a kiss. "I love you and happy you are my wife."
"I love you too my dear nagging husband," she said, as he pouted.
"I don't nag."
