"Why are you freaking out? You're about to make your dreams come true!" You asked your childhood best friend William. He was about to play his first NHL game and had called you in a panic.
"It would just be easier if you were coming to tonight's game," he sighed. "It just doesn't seem right without you being here."
"Yeah I get it," you smiled wickedly, glad he couldn't see you. You had gotten tickets tonight's game and had stolen his Marlies' jersey. You wanted to surprise him. You were unbelievably proud of all he had accomplished.
"I gotta go. Promise you're watching on tv?"
"I wouldn't miss it for the world!" You smiled in the mirror while you finished up curling your hair, added some light makeup and carefully pulled his jersey over your head. It smelt like him. You had secretly crushed on him, but you weren't willing to let your silly feelings mess up years of friendship.

You arrive at the game just as it starts, (you had forgotten about traffic). Your seat was glass level, right next to the tunnel. The game is intense, going back and forth. After an exhilarating three periods, there was .10 seconds left in the tied game and Will had the puck. You were watching through your fingers. You blinked and heard the goal horns go off. Will had done it! He had scored the winning goal! You couldn't have been more proud of how great he had done in the game. The team get off the bench and fist pump everyone surrounding the tunnel. Will is last, and as he goes to fist pump you he looks up.
"(Y/N)?"
"Surprise!" You smile wider than you ever thought possible. He swiftly picks you up and down the tunnel, dropping you in front of the locker room.
"I'll be right out."
After about twenty minutes he comes back out and hugs you again. "You came. You saw. You're wearing my shirt?" He laughs at your outfit choice. Without warning, he swoops down and kisses you.
"Sorry (Y/N) I shouldn't have done that." He releases you and looks down at the ground awkwardly.
"Will?" You look up at him and press your lips to his. "I don't mind if you do it again."
