ELLIOT STOOD IN between mia and letty at the finish line. he had his doubts that his older brother would cross that line. he wasn't really feeling like racing tonight, preferring to watch alongside his closest friend and sister. dominic was quick to pass the finish line.
everyone rushed around dom's car, as elliot, letty, and mia pushed their way to the front. hector stepped over and gave dom the money he had earned. "here's what you won, right here, there you go,"
"my sister holds the money, count it," dominic remarked, handing Mia the wad of cash. "and you are my trophy," he smiled as he picked up letty by the waist.
brian finally crossed the finish line as dom pushed letty back to the ground and approached a happy brian. "was that fun?" jesse examined as he popped the hood, smoke spilling out. elliot looked across at brian with a crap eating grin on his face. "what are you smiling about?"
"dude, i almost had you," brian grinned, pointing at dom as the crowd burst out laughing.
dom pointed at himself. "you almost got me? you never had me, you never had your car," dom said, stepping around brian and his car. "granny shifting, no double clenching, as you should. you're lucky that 100 shots of NOS didn't break the intake welds. almost had me?"
dom pointed to jesse before closing the hood of his car. "now it's up to me and the mad scientist to disassemble the block and replace the piston rings you fried,"
"ask a racer. any true racer doesn't care if they win by an inch or a mile. winning is winning," he said, raising his arms as the crowd cheered.
"oh, shit! we got cops. cops! go!" leon yelled over the radio, and everyone scattered into their cars. elliot took the keys out of his pocket and tossed them to mia before leaving to find jesse.
of fact, jesse had already taken off, and everyone was desperately attempting to get away from the cops. elliot ran off down the street, gradually lowering his pace when he realized he wasn't being pursued.
the sound of engines flooded his ears, and he couldn't help but groan as he recognized the street he was on. "mr, toretto," a voice yelled out as a few motorcyclists approached him. elliot scoffed but stopped moving anyhow.
"you know who's streets your walking on?" johnny trans voice spoke.
"got lost," elliot shrugged, looking at lance. "if you're gonna stare any longer, lance, you might as well take a picture," he baited the snake-wearing male.
johnny said, revving his engine, "i would watch that mouth of yours toretto could get you in a lot of trouble."
elliot smirked, "maybe," as he and lance gave their engine one last boost and took off. elliot scoffed and continued his way home.
while walking through the neighborhood, elliot was distracted by the noise of a motorcycle.
"let me give you a ride home," johnny's voice said, carefully following the other. "no thanks," elliot responded, shaking his head as he continued down the street.
"come on, don't be like that, let me give you a ride, it's the least i can do," tran said as he followed the youngest toretto down the street. "you have this weird unhealthy obsession with me," Elliott muttered, pausing in his tracks.
"don't be like that," trans said, handing elliot an extra helmet. elliot sighed before grabbing his helmet and getting on the bike. fuck my life, elliot thought the entire way home.
