For once in your life, it felt like you could actually be normal. Oddly enough, no one, not Stiles or Scott or Lydia had messaged you once. Normally, you would’ve been concerned, but you took the moment of peace from the supernatural to catch up on some much needed school work.

It was just you home, and with music playing softly in the background, you sat on your living room couch, reviewing notes and doing any homework that had been assigned that week. You didn’t have to save the world, risk your life for people you didn’t even know and for once, it felt like you could just be an actual teenage girl. You used that to the best of your ability.

Biting your lip, you wrote down the solution for the math problem you’d been reviewing. Taking care to make sure your work was neat, since the teacher was a real stickler for that. You were so engrossed in your work, for once, that the sudden knock on your front door practically made you jump. You let out a tiny gasp, eyes snapping up to the front door in question. Without thought, you glanced at the clock, noticing that it was already quite late in the evening, around ten, and tried to think back if anyone was suppose to come over today.

Nope. You don’t remember your parents mentioning anything about it, and you’re pretty sure that if Scott or the others were coming over, they’d text you first. With furrowed brows, you pushed yourself to a stand, stretching slightly before making your way over to the door. Another round of knocks echoed as you made your way over and you sighed; “i’m coming!” You called, picking up the pace slightly.

The moment you were at your front door, you unlocked it, swinging it open. You found yourself surprised when you saw Stiles standing there, leaning against the door frame, a smirk plastered on his lips. “Stiles?” You asked, raising a brow. “What are you doing here? Is something wrong?”

“Am I not allowed to just visit you?” Stiles questioned, and you couldn’t help but notice that there was something a little off about him. He pushed himself off the edge, standing tall before you.

“Well, no…” You mumbled, stepping back so he could make his way in. You shut the door behind Stiles, locking it as you watched him slip off his shoes. “It’s just normally when you come knocking at my door at ten at night, something’s usually wrong.”

As you turned back to Stiles, you found yourself even more puzzled when you noticed him looking around, as if he’d never been in your living room before. You shrugged it off as nothing, even though you’d known Stiles for a good chunk of your life, the boy had his weird ticks. You couldn’t a hundred percent explain why he did some of the things he did, so why start questioning it now.

“Nothing’s wrong.” Stiles shrugged, turning back to you.

You nodded, slowly making your way back over to the couch before taking a seat. Stiles followed, taking a seat directly beside you. “Is there something you needed?” You asked with a small smile, glancing up at him from the side.

“Just wanted to see you,” he whispered, causing your cheeks to warm slightly. You felt your heart beat race slightly in reaction to his words, cowering in surprise. Stiles normally wasn’t this forward, at least not with you. This sort of attention seemed to be reserved for Lydia only, and while you’d be lying if you said you didn’t have maybe a tiny crush on Stiles, it still puzzled you.

Stiles turned away from you at that, his eyes falling on the coffee table before the both of you. “Doing some studying?”
