Meanwhile in the Ministry...

"Right. Any questions?" the minister asked rising from his seat. From his expression it was clear, he didn't want any questions, just asked so he wouldn't seem rude.

"Er... Yes, sir." Ron rose awkwardly. All the heads shot into his direction curiously. Hermione crossed her fingers under the table.

"Yes, Mr. Weasley?"

"Uhm. Er. I-"

"Spit it out already! I don't have time all day long!"

"Yes, sir! I... I wanted to ask you something. Privately."

Everyone looked astonished and curious. When the minister - after only a minute hesitation - waved Ron out of the door, Hermione sighed in relief.

She stood up and gestured the others to go back to work. She waited until everybody disappeared, then hurried towards a huge bookcase opposite the door - which she'd closed before carefully.

To anybody who didn't look carefully enough, the heavy books seemed as if they were totally average on a totally average shelf. However Hermione knew what she was looking for. She cast a silence spell and closed her eyes. She could feel the magic wavering around her: that was it!

She tapped all the books one by one with her wand, until she found it. A large one with the most inconspicuous cover, spent a shiver down on her along her wand. She made difficult movements with her wand muttering incomprehensible words under her breath.

She'd just finished when loud, echoing footsteps were audible from the corridor. She quickly hid her wand and hurried to the table to sit down. She couldn't sneak out of the room without somebody noticing, so she had to pretend she was waiting for the minister.

The door swung open, revealing a slightly annoyed minister in the doorframe. What did Ron say to him?

"Mrs. Granger-Weasley?"

"Minister, sir!" she squeaked.

"What are you doing here?"

"I... I was waiting for you. I wanted to ask you something. About... Harry Potter."

The minister quirked an eyebrow. "Interesting. Very interesting."

"Do you know something about him? I was wondering... I just didn't want to ask it in front of the others. But... I'm really worried and I thought you may have some information-"

"It's really interesting, indeed." the minister said again, now a much more visible annoyance showing in his expression. "Your husband just asked the same question while leading me to his office. Which happenes to be three floors below. And when I come back, you are still waiting in my office to ask the same question as your husband. Don't you find it interesting, Mrs. Granger-Weasley?"

Hermione's face paled a few shades. "Oh. Well. Now that you say it... But it's not what it looks like! I really didn't know what he wanted to say! I just wanted to know... Nevermind."

"Nevermind." he echoed. "Now, Mrs. Granger-Weasley, I suggest you to go home and ask your husband about Harry Potter. We had a quite pleasant chat on the topic."

"Right, sir. I'm sorry f-"

"Don't. Just go, Mrs. Granger-Weasley."

Utter disappointment was dripping from his voice. If it wasn't for Harry, Hermione would've been much more nervous about her future carreer in that moment. But now she couldn't think about it. She'd just found out what wards guarded the Time Tuner, their only hope to get back Harry from death.

It's just a short chapter. But the next time we will move along with the train of this story to find out what happens with our heros and heroines.
I hope you like the story. If you have any ideas or suggestions do feel free to leave a comment!
