Harry touched down smoothly. Draco and the others ran to him. They all crouched down beside his body.
"Harry! Harry!"
"Are you alright?"
"Can you hear us?"
But Harry didn't move. Ron shook him gently, Ginny and Hermione both called his name, but nothing happened.
Draco collapsed beside him, his head colliding with Harry's chest, and he started to sob violently.
Ron and the girls all quieted and looked at the now vehemently crying blonde boy. They all knew that Draco liked Harry. Even, loved him. But seeing and hearing the boy's harrowing sobs on their best friends unmoving body, made them feel even more miserable than before.
They looked at one another in a loss for words. What should they do?
"Draco." Hermione whispered and placed a hand on the boy's trembling back. "He'll be alright."
"How do you know? Huh? HOW?" he shouted. "YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING! YOU-"
"Malfoy!" Ron said firmly. "Don't."
"Shut up, Weasley! Shut up everyone! Shut up! Shut up! SHUT UP!"
Hermione and the two Weasleys looked scared. They didn't dare to say another word, though Ron really wanted to punch Malfoy in the face and tell him off. How dare he shout at Hermione?!
But he did nothing. He thought of seeing Hermione in such a state like Harry. Falling from the sky, surrounded by killing lights, and they lying on the ground unmoving. He wouldn't be much calmer.
So he stood up with girls and watched the fortress, so if the Death Eaters came out, they would be able to warn Draco, grab Harry and Disapparate.
But the Death Eaters seemed to be occupied with finding their master or whatever they were shouting for inside. Draco could have a bit alone time with Harry.
The blond boy was still shaking and sobbing on Harry's body, inwardly cursing himself for letting hope get over him. After all he hoped until the last minute that he would see the raven haired boy again. Whether he would remember their kisses or not, but he would be alive. Draco hoped so, but seeing Harry lying on the slightly muddy ground unmovingly, caused him to let go of hoping forever.
He hated hope! It was cattish. It made him believe in something that now seemed impossible. It made him believe in a world that had Harry Potter in it.
Now Draco was furious, disappointed and tristful at once. He clutched onto Harry's tear-soaked T-shirt and buried his head into the boy's chest.
He was crying so vehemently that he didn't notice when Harry's chest raised slightly.
"Huh."
Draco froze. Was he hallucinating or he really did hear Harry sigh?
"Harry?"
Another "huh".
"Harry! You're alive?!" Draco shouted and couldn't help but kissed the other boy's cheek. "Oh, thank, Merlin! You're alive! I've missed you so much!"
Hearing Draco's cheerful shouts, Hermione, Ginny and Ron turned around, only to see a now gratefully weeping Draco Malfoy kissing all over Harry's face.
"Ew. Gross!" Ron whispered, but he couldn't hide his happy smile.
They all hurried to the still half uncoscious boy and saw that his face wasn't that pale as it had been and he was indeed breathing lightly. Harry Potter was alive!
"Quickly! Let's take him to St. Mungo's!" ordered Hermione.
The two boys grabbed Harry by the arms and hoisted him, so Ginny and Hermione could hold on to them to Apparate right into the hospital's bright white reception hall.
The boys sat Harry down on a chair while Ginny ran to the bored witch sitting in her cubicle to tell her to get Harry a Healer immediately.
"Your name?" the witch asked.
"Ginevra Molly Weasley, but that's not the point! Did you even listen to me? We brought in Harry Potter! He's injured, he nearly died, so get him a Healer right now I will-"
But before Ginny could expose what exactly did she intended to do with still dull receptionist witch, a deep calm voice rang through the room.
"Please calm down. What happened here?"
They turned to the corridor where the voice came from, and saw the Healer who'd led them to Lucy's room so many days before.
"Mister!" Ginny exclaimed. "We brought in Harry Potter! He's nearly dead. Please help him!"
The Healer quirked an eyebrow before stepping closer to the uncounsciously sitting Harry supported by a puffy eyed Draco Malfoy and a really concerned Ron Weasley.
"Hm." he hummed and motioned to the boys to lie Harry on the stretcher he'd just conjured. "What exactly happened?"
The four shared a glance before Hermione spoke up. "Long story short, he trapped into a magical shield powered by Death Eaters. I think he wasn't dead nor alive. We managed to break the curse and destroyed the shield. Harry escaped but-" she trailed off, her eyes watery.
"When the shield dissolved, he was floating in the air, a strange green light wrapped around his body. It seemed to suffocate him or somehow caused him pain. Then this light transformed into snakes."
"When he touched down, he didn't move. He only started to breathe again recently." Draco finished quietly.
"I see. I don't know what can I do for him. But I'll try my best, I promise. First I have to check him. Please sit down here" he ushered them into a small room and nodded his head in the direction of a white door in the corner. "We'll be here. I'll say when you can come in."
Ginny, Ron and Hermione nodded their head and sat down, but Draco dodn't move. "Can't I come in?" he asked.
The Healer only smiled at him sadly before disappearing behind the door with Harry.
