Ryoko sat together with her friends in the small living room above Kami Games one rainy afternoon.
Her and Yugi were locked in and intense duel, neither duelist giving up ground although Ryoko sat with a significant LP lead of 1050 compared to Yugi's measley 900 although she refused to let her guard down. Her duels with not only Yugi, but Kaiba as well, had taught her that a true champion duelist was often most dangerous when backed into a corner. That and years of playing professionaly had ingrained into her this truth: "It's not over until a duelist's LP's hit zero, until then anything can happen."
This was especially true for Yugi. Said boy had his Dark Magician on the field in attack mode with two face down cards backing him up, Ryoko's Rose Empress and Thorn Empress were also in attack mode with a face down card backing them up. Because she had only just summoned her Thorn Empress she couldn't attack yet but even with the odds in her favor she was still cautious about Yugi's face down cards.
Tristan, Téa, and Joey were in a sort of semi-circle around them. Awe and excitement on all their faces as the watched their friends duel.
Yugi summoned his Dark Magician Girl in defense mode before calling an attack with his Dark Magician against Ryoko's Rose Empress, an excited smile on his face. As Yugi's dark magic attack was rendered useless in the face of Ryoko's Mirror Force trap card, but it's effect was negated by Yugi's (aptly named) Negate Attack, he played another face down card before guesturing for Ryoko to take her turn.
As Ryoko drew her Coronna the Time Mage a smile crossed her features. "Time's up Yug, I play my Time Mage Coronna in attack mode." The monster was a beautiful woman with waist-length black hair and brown eyes, in one hand she held what looked like a crystal ball and a old fashioned pocket watch in the other. "Next for the cost of 1000 LPs I activate her special ability to speed up time," as her Time Mage's special ability took effect Ryoko's Rose Empress became shrouded in rose petals while her Thorn Empress became shrouded in thorny vines, as the vines and roses dissapeared in their places were two dragons. Rose Empress Dragon and Thorn Empress Dragon.
"Next I'll activate my dragons' special abilities, first they both gain an additional 1000 attack points because their sister dragon is on the field," both dragons' attack power rose by 1000pts, "next because my R.E.D. is on the field all magic cards are destroyed and because my T.E.D. is on the field all trap cards are destroyed," both of Yugi's face down cards were destroyed leaving everyone of their friends in a state of shock. "Now then R.E.D. attack D.M.G. with Rosen Krone!" Her dragon attacked destroying D.M.G. in a blast of rose colored light, "Next up T.E.D. attack his D.M. with Cursed Breath of Thorns!" Yugi's D.M. was obliterated in a flash of lavender colored light.
"And last but not least, Coronna attack his LPs directly with Time's Wrath!" Her Time Mage's crystal ball glowed ominously as Yugi's LPs hit 0.
