1. When you are writing Korean, one syllable becomes one letter.

2. Some letter have baat-chim but some doesn't.

3. Some vowels should be written next to the first consonant and some vowels should be written below the first consonant.

4. Ending consonant (=baat-chim) must be written at the bottom of the letter.

These four rules are all you have to know!

Then, let's see which vowels should be written next to the consonant.

=> ㅏ, ㅑ, ㅓ, ㅕ, ㅣ, ㅐ, ㅒ, ㅔ, ㅖ

e.g. 가다, 거리, 개미, 얘기, 야매 etc

The others should be written beneath the first consonant

=> ㅗ, ㅛ, ㅜ, ㅠ, ㅡ

e.g. 우유, 고요, 그 etc

So when you have both vowels which should be written next to and below, then you write one below the consonant and one next to the consonant.

=> ㅚ, ㅟ, ㅘ, ㅝ, ㅙ, ㅞ, ㅢ

e.g. 외워, 위, 의자, 궤도, 왜냐하면 etc

I hope you practise writing on the paper. Take any paper out and try to write any K pop idols name you like. If you like BTS then write all seven members name in Korean. This is the last chapter for basic Korean and I hope it actually helped you. Before you move onto the next chapter, you must know all Korean alphabets and how to read and write them. From unit 2, I suggest you to memorise simple Korean vocabularies. (at least 10 words each day)

I suggest you these three ways:

1. Go to YouTube and type "basic korean words" and choose the video saying 'with pictures'

2. Go to Pinterest and type "basic korean words" and choose any photo you like and learn them.

3. Buy Korean Word Book.

You can choose any way you prefer, just make sure you memorise 10 words each day. I will be explaining simple grammars you must know from the next chapter. When you come back to my book, just type me 10 words you learn that day on the comment. Just let me know you are actually learning Korean and following my instruction!
