(Y/N's POV)
(One month later)
I was sitting on the bed in my room sketching flowers and other random designs. I start humming incoherently to fill the silence. It wasn't until I heard a knock at the door did I stop humming.
"Come in!" I shout to the door.
The door opened gradually, to reveal Steve standing outside the door.
"Yes?" I questioned trying to figure out what he needed.
"I was wondering if you want to come on a run with me? I mean bucky was going to come with, but he has some things to do." he rambled as he stood shifting uncomfortably in the spot he was standing.
"Sure, I mean I have nothing better to do, " I say getting off the bed and walking over to the dresser across the room, grabbing leggings and a plain (F/C) top. I turn to Steve and say, "so you just gonna stand there and gawk at me getting changed, leave or help." I say smirking as I wink at him.
He goes bright red and turns to leave the room before stating that he would be waiting for me downstairs then he left and closed the door. I let out a small giggle and pull off my shirt and shorts.
I pull on the leggings and reach out for the shirt sitting on the chair in front of me. The door bursts open and my arms fly up to cover my bra. "OMG, I AM SO SO SORRY!!" Bucky shouts turning red and covering his eyes. "It's fine," I say back to him, quickly putting my shirt on.
"So what did you need?" I question wondering why he burst into my room without knocking. As I looked at him waiting for the answer there was a knock at the door. I go and open it to see Steve standing there in his running outfit. I then caught a glimpse of bucky standing in the corner of my eye, attempting to stay out of Steve's view.
I make eye contact with bucky for a split second before turning back to Steve who just stood there waiting for me to leave the room to join him. I smile and ask a simple question, which made a huff of anger come from my room which only I heard. "Hey, Steve? Why exactly did bucky not want to join you for the run?" I look into steves piercing blue eyes to see a slight glimpse of sadness.
"He and I had a slight disagreement between the two of us. Nothing too important don't worry," he says trying to convince either me or himself I couldn't tell. I think it was a slight bit of both, even if he tried to hide it. He always tried to push down his feelings for others, especially for the ones he loves or cares about, but that much was unmistakable.
"Alright but you know that you are a terrible liar, but I get it if you don't want to talk about it." I do wish he would talk to me about it, but I got that he wanted to keep his personal life private. I get it I mean my dad is very judging, and he likes to get involved in other people's business when not exactly wanted to.
I closed the door behind me and follow him to the lift and stepped inside and press the ground floor button. The lift starts to go down and halfway down the lift jolted making me fall and hit my head off the wall. "Ouch!" I yelp getting up and pulling my hand down from my head to check for blood. "Great. Just great!" I say seeing Blood on my hand. Sarcasm laced my voice.
"Are you ok?" Steve asked laying his hands on my cheeks and looking over the cut on my head. I reach up and clasp his hands and gaze into his eyes, which were filled with concern. "I'm fine Steve, " I hum, turning a little pink, as his eyes shift from worried to calm and sweet. I break eye contact to ask Jarvis what had happened. "The lift has malfunctioned miss but I have started on repairs and they should be done in about two or so hours, " my eyes widened at the thought of being stuck in a lift with Steve for two hours. I shook my head and sighed deeply. "Alright thanks, Jarvis," I say and look back at Steve who was now sitting against the wall and looking up at the ceiling and thinking. I sit down beside him and start to stare off as well and my mind quickly goes to bucky who was now locked in my room because I had programmed the doors to automatically lock when my bracelet left the room, the one I was wearing. I shoot up and start pacing and playing with the bracelet around my wrist.
"What's wrong, " Steve says standing in front of me and grabbing my wrists to stop me from pacing. I look up at him, to see that he looked worried again.
"I may or may not have accidentally locked bucky in my room, " I mumble looking down at his hands that were wrapped gently around mine.
"You did what?!?" he slightly raised his voice before he stopped himself and let go of my hands.
"How," he asked calming down as much as possible to not yell.
"I programmed my doors to lock automatically when this bracelet leaves the room," I say waving the bracelet in front of him.
"It also has a passcode pin only I know, I installed it today so nobody would go in my room if I wasn't in there, " I state looking him in the eyes.
"So how did bucky get locked in there?" he asked, our eyes locking gazes. "He burst through the doors while I was changing and then apologised for barging in, allowing me to get dressed and we talked until you knocked on the door and he hid from you for reasons am not aware of and well you know the rest."
"Oh ok, well I'm sure he's fine, " He said calming my nerves immediately.
"Yeah probably, I just hope that he won't be too mad at me," I say adding before sitting back down to wait for the lift to be fixed.
