Bucky x Reader x Steve

Chapter 9

(Steve's POV)

I was happy to be in a relationship with Y/N even if bucky was involved this was all I was thinking about on the way to the location of the mission. I kept making eye contact with bucky and smiling with him on the way to the mission. when we get there we are prepared for anything Y/N is gonna stay and work on the controls watching over us and keeping track of all of us for safety.

We exit the quinjet and enter the building with extreme caution making sure to keep an eye out for any form of movement around us as we all enter and split up. I make sure to fully scan every room I go into either for people or important-looking stuff. I did not find anything suspicious on the ground floor so I found the stairs and went up the stairs just to the next floor as the others go to the other building on the large plot of land we were on.  

Eventually, I find a room that was full of large plants that smelt completely terrible. I radio the others telling the whole group about the room making sure to let them know what floor the room is on and how far the room is from the staircase. Then they all come up into the room with me and start to look around the rest of the rooms on the floor. When we found everything we called it in and the mess was all left there for fury's men to deal with so we didn't have to.

We all headed back to the quinjet and when we were all inside and buckled in we were on our way back to the tower. When we get there we get out of the jet and get back to whatever we needed to do. I just decided to go for a short shower and get some fresh clothes on as it was now pretty late in the afternoon and it was very close to night time so I got ready for bed and decided to do a small bit of reading before dosing off for the night.

(Y/N's POV)

I got ready for bed getting some pj's on but decided to go down to the kitchen for something to eat. I start to make myself some pancakes as I did not feel hungry enough to make a large meal for myself. after I had mixed the final ingredient into the pancake batter I feel a presence enter the room and stand watching me make my pancakes silently observing. I pour a small amount of batter into the pan beginning to cook them gradually. 

The other person in the kitchen finally moves but did not leave but instead moves towards me and wraps two big arms around me noticeably one of the arms is metal and I knew exactly who the two large arms belonged to. 'bucky'. 

"Hey, love." He says while still holding me tight while I continue to cook and flip my pancakes being careful not to burn them. "Hey buck," I say squeezing his arms and then going back to baking my pancakes. Once all my pancakes were cooked and put on a plate I turned off the stove, put syrup on my pancakes and grabbed a knife and fork. Bucky lets go to allow me to move though he follows after me even as I go to the table with my plate to eat.

When I go to sit down he sits next to me looking at me with a loving glance. I start to eat and he just sits fiddling with his fingers as I eat, he waits for me to finish before asking if I want to go to his room to watch some movies with him before bed of course I agree as I lift my dishes and lift them over to the sink rinsing them before popping them in the dishwasher. 

When I put the dish and utensils in the dishwasher I then follow bucky to his room where I get comfortable on his bed as he puts on the movie that we agreed on, on the way to the room on as I get comfy in his bed. After he puts the movie on he settles into the bed beside me. As the movie plays on we get more comfortable with each other eventually I get really tired and lay against his chest falling asleep almost instantly.
