Harry's POV:

"Hey, Hazza," Louis sits back in the wooden kitchen chair and plants both feet crossed on the opposite chair. "You can't date someone who isn't a fan. You know that."

I stand awkwardly in the corner of the kitchen in Louis's flat while he chows on carrots. Digging my hands into my pockets, I mutter, "Well, just because she isn't throwing herself all over me doesn't mean I can't date her..."

Louis laughs derisively. "Ha, that's a good one. No, she definitely isn't throwing herself at you..." He bites the end off one of his long carrots and fixes a steady gaze on me.

"Tell me about it," I mutter, turning away from him. I plant both hands on the edge of the kitchen table and stare off into space.

"Listen to me, Hazza. You need help with girls, come to me, all right?" Louis says.

I smirk in spite of myself. "Yeah, you're a lot of help."

He tips his chair back and regards me very disapprovingly. "Stay with me, man. Fallouts? Been there. Breakups? Done that."

"Who are you currently dating, anyway?" I demand, turning to him.

"Um." He instantly switches to defense mode. "Well, there's this girl, Shaliene..." (A/N: I AM a supporter of Elounor, but I decided that for this fanfic, I'd give all the boys new girlfriends, just to make the story itself more in my hands.)

My interests instantly perk up at this. Louis hasn't switched dates in a while. "Oh yeah? What happened to—"

"No," interrupts Louis, leaping to his feet and holding out his hands defensively. "No. We're not going there."

"Oh?" I tease, cocking my head a little. "Well?"

He's redder now than I've ever seen him. "We... broke up."

I raise my eyebrows, but before I can say anything, Louis blurts out, "But HEY! I told ya I've been there and done that!"

If he's going to act like this then fine, I'll play along. I reach out an arm, blocking his escape. "OK, Lou. I'll take your advice. So tell me; how do you know this Shaliene is a keeper?"

"SHE LIKES CARROTS!" Louis screams, ducking under my arm and charging up the stairs. I let him go. If that's all Louis looks for in girls, then he won't really be much of a help to me. My eyes drift absently out the window. Right now, I don't really know what to do about Denise. I can't deny that I love her... but neither can I deny that our relationship is not as it should be. Either I try to salvage it or I let it go altogether.

Everything's worth a try.

Denise's POV:

I feel a little guilty for getting so mad at him. But I was so shocked that he would keep this major fact of his life a secret from me. Almost like he was... mocking me.

Anger boils inside me. If we're ever going to be together, he needs to start acting like it.

I slurp some of my iced coffee to calm myself down, but it gets caught in my throat and I end up gagging it back into my cup.

I drive my red Corvette through the London streets. I hate this city. I belong back home in Los Angeles. I'm only here now because of my college studies in the area. And I guess, Harry makes me want to stay too.

Harry. The mere thought of his name sends rage boiling into my chest. I don't want to break up with him. The possibility of us making up is still in sight, but now that I've made a fool of myself, I have no idea how he'll respond.
