I woke up to Dale poking my feet. "Hey, kid. You slept kinda late this morning. Everyone's been up for a couple hours." I rolled out of bed and mumbled "Sorry." Dale nodded as I pulled my shoes on. "Can I talk to you about what Glenn told you?" I froze. Glenn must have told Dale. "Uh sure." I walked out of the tent and towards the edge of the woods with Dale. "What do you think we should do about this? We can't just keep them in there." I said.

"It's the Greene's farm. We can't do anything without their permission. I think we should find out what everyone thinks and then go from there." What do we do if they say to leave them alone? Those walkers could bust out of that barn at any moment. This whole situation is going to start a fight. That is not something we need right now.

"Let me talk to Maggie before you talk to everyone else. I want to know what she thinks about this."  I said.

"Of course. Be careful what you say to her, kid. Her family probably has a reason that they think is completely okay to be keeping the walkers in there." I nodded and smiled a reassuring smile. Dale turned around to walk back to the camp. I pulled my hair up in a ponytail and walked into the woods. I just need to think for a bit. About what to say to Maggie. I walked through the woods and saw a deer. The only thing I have on me is my knife. Damn. It was a doe anyway, she might have a baby. I was so focused on watching the deer that I didn't even know Daryl was out here until he tapped me on the shoulder. Scared the shit out of me. He had his eyes on the deer and slowly raised his crossbow at it. I looked at him and lightly shook my head. He rolled his eyes and lowered the crossbow.

A walker walked out towards the deer, gurgling. The deer got spooked and ran away. I pulled my knife out of the sheath and walker over towards the walker. I pinned it up against a tree and jammed my knife in its skull. Daryl walked over to me. "Why're you out here?" I shrugged. "Needed time to think about stuff." He nodded and slung his crossbow over his shoulder. "What about you?" He said he was losing hope for Sophia. Maybe he was still looking for her anyway. "Lookin' for you." Oh. I sighed. "Dare, I appreciate it, but I can take care of myself ya know." He raised his eyebrows and stared at me. "I know. Just worried about you's all." I put my knife back in the sheath and walked past him back to camp. "Are you pissed?" He jogged so he could walk up next to me. I shook my head. He lightly patted my arm with the back of his hand. "Are you okay, D?" I stopped, looked at him, and nodded, but kept a straight face. "I just got a lot of stuff on my mind right now, okay?" I continued walking back to the camp.

Daryl trudged back behind me. I walked up the steps of the Greene house and sat on the porch swing, next to Maggie. I just sat there, not saying anything. I didn't want to hurt her feelings, because she might think it's okay to have that barn full of walkers.

"Maggie," I glanced at her. She smiled at me, but it quickly faded as she sensed the worry in my tone. "we need to talk about the barn." She dropped her eyes to her lap and lightly nodded. "Why are they in there?" Maggie inhaled deeply. "My daddy thinks there's a cure. Part of our family is in there. I don't think what he is doin is right, but it's not my choice." I was silent for a moment after that. Does Hershel really think there's a cure for this? He's seen those bloodthirsty monsters. All they do is try to rip your face off and eat it. "Maggie, we need to talk to him. They could bust out those doors at any moment and come for us." I stood up and turned away, but Maggie lightly gripped my wrist. "I'm with you. It's not right. But like I said, that's our family in that barn. This matters to him. Just please don't be too harsh." I nodded once and walked down the steps and over to Glenn. "So Hershel really thinks they're still people, huh?" Glenn stood silent with his hands on his hips. "I talked to Dale. He wants to talk to everyone in the group to get their input on this." I nodded. "I know. I don't want to be a part of this anymore, Glenn. I don't think keeping them is okay. But, this isn't our farm. It's their choice. Leave me out of it from now on. Please." Glenn looked at me like I was crazy, but then his face softened. I walked off to find Carl.
