Corpse's Stream Crashes

I was sitting in the living room, watching tv on the couch, one hand holding a bowl of ice cream and the other elbow deep in a bag of crisps. Lets just say; I was stressed out.

I hadn't done anything too tiresome. I walked my dog, fed my two cats, helped my boyfriend set up for his stream, cleaned my room, washed dishes, swept the floor, mopped the floor- okay... maybe I did do a lot.

I guess I didn't realize how much I had done today because of what small simple tasks they were, but looking back now, I find the reason i'm so exhausted very obvious.

You're probably thinking "gurl, I do more than that in my house! Why you complaining?" Or "Why don't you get your boyfriend to help you?" Well I have an answer that answer both questions. Corpse, my boyfriend, is really struggling with his health at the moment and he just recently started streaming to make up some money, which means I take care of Corpse when I need to, I cook, I clean, etc.

Whenever people learn about this part of my life they judge me, they tell me to leave corpse behind and live my life because I'm young and youthful. But, honestly, I wouldn't change a thing about my life. I love Corpse and I would never abandon him just because I'm stressed.

And what sucks is, I think that between the two of us, Corpse has more weight on his shoulders.

"FUCK!" I jumped in shock from the loud yell,  grabbing the remote and turning the television off.

"Corpse? You good?" Nothing. I listened for any sound of his stream and heard nothing. Maybe he ended stream?

"Hey, Honey? Are you struggling with the foil again?" I got up from the couch, adjusting my clothes before checking the kitchen. No Corpse. I let out a small 'hmph' turning to Corpse's office. I knocked quietly, opening the door before I took a small peak. The gaming chair was knocked over and the pc was off.

"So he did stop stream." I whispered. I stepped forward, picking the chair up and setting it down correctly before leaving the room.

Walking down the hallway, I swallowed the heavy knot in my throat before reaching the bedroom. I raised my fist, ready to knock but was stopped by a noise.

"Please, just come in. Its your room too." I sighed and opened the door, furrowing my eyebrows as I took in the sight in front of me. .

Corpse stood next to the bed, eyeliner angrily smeared across his cheekbones. His hands were clenched and his hair was messy as his chest heaved slightly.

"Honey? Are you okay? Did something happen to make you end stream?" I stepped closer to him and reached up, placing my hands on each of his cheeks and cupping his scarred face. He let out a few low noises, ones that I confused with anger, before he broke down.

"W-why ca- can't I jus-st do someth-thing right?! Anything!" He backed away from me a bit, reaching up to cover his face as tears started building up in his eyes.

"Wh-what? What do you mean? What happened?" I watched as Corpse's breathing sped up before I shook my head and threw my arms around him. He gasped a little and coughed, nearly choking on tears.

"Hey~ Listen sugar, I don't know what happened but you need to calm down, alright? Everything is okay, you're okay, i'm here, I'll always be here and I'll always love you." I spoke into his chest. I felt his breathing calm down slightly, small hiccups and choked sobs still escaping his mouth.

"C'mon, lets lay down. I'll hold you and you can let everything out, okay?" I stepped back and looked up at Corpse. He reached up, wiping his tears as he nodded. I took his hand and led him to the bed, laying down and grabbing the blanket next to me.

Corpse let himself fall limply onto the bed, faceplanting and letting out a small scream. He lifted his head once again and sighed before crawling on top of me. His elbows wobbled and gave out, causing him to land on top of my legs, his head resting on my stomach. I moved my legs out from under him, causing his body to slot between them, his arms coming up and forcing themselves under my body so he was hugging my torso.

"Hey, your legs are hanging off the bed. Do you wanna scoot up?" He shook his head no and tightened his hold around my waist. I hummed, reaching a hand down so that I could play with his curls. He gave a low hum which ended in a growl as he nudged my hand. I smiled and began to gently massage his scalp, running my right hand through the thick ebony curls as the other rested on his shoulder. We laid there for about an hour, drowning in each other's presence that we didn't know we needed.

"Are you feeling better?" I got a positive hum in response.

"Are you ready to talk about it?" Corpse gave a sigh before he nodded, giving me a small squeeze.

"I was talking to Jack and he was telling me a story about potatoes" I gave a small giggle.

"The internet cut out and I disconnected from the discord call and the among us game at the same time, but my stream kept going so I got up and fixed the issue." I nodded, letting out a quiet hum to show i was listening.

"It happened again five minutes later but this time the screen went black but I could still hear the among us music playing so I went to restart the pc, ended up seeing myself in the reflection of the screen and thought the stream could see me, so I flipped out and punched the screen like an idiot. I got stressed and just left the room." Corpse lay his head back down, signalling that he was done talking, and closed his eyes.

"It sounds like you got overwhelmed. Too much happened all at once, hm?" Corpse swallowed, giving my waist another short squeeze as he let out a quiet "yeah."

We stayed like that until we fell asleep, hoping that tomorrow would be a little easier.
