I leapt out out of bed and grabbed the first t-shirt I saw, some jeans, and my boots. I threw my hair up into a ponytail and raced down the stairs and told my dad, "I'm late! Can you drive me?"
"Sure, Sophia! Calm down, get your backpack and get into the car," he said. I ran back up the stairs and realized that I had forgot all my school supplies and schedule at home in Florida. I grabbed my bag and went downstairs again and headed to the car where Dad was already waiting. I hopped in and he said, "You ready for the day?"
"Yep, Dad, I think so," I said. We pulled up in front of the school, said goodbye to my dad and walked into the school, hoping for the best.
