Chapter seven

Your Pov

I start explaining the events of how I ended up in Ej's room. Jeff just nods along and listens.

Jeff: "Okay listen, you're not to go near him and you'll be staying in my room from now on so I can keep an eye on you. Alright?"

I nod and he nods back, leaving to go back to sleep. I shrug a little and go downstairs, although it's only been a few hours Toby and I have gotten kind of close. Since we both had abusive fathers we understood each other, not to mention our shared love of fire.

He's sitting on the ground next to Ben, they're playing some racing video game. I don't want to interrupt them so I sit on the couch behind them with my knees to my chest and watch. This goes on for a few rounds of the game before they notice I'm there. Ben waves and Toby gets up, sitting next to me.

Toby: "hey, (Y/N)! Didn't go to well with E-Ej?"

I shrug "I'm pretty sure he tried to eat me-"

Toby nods and we continue our conversation, talking about things we like and how we usually spend our free time. Eventually the three of us get bored, so we ask Slender if we can go out. He gives us the okay and we make our way out of the forest and into a nearby town. Wearing disguises of course. Mine comprises of jeans and a hoodie, keeping the hood up to hide my face. Toby wears what he usually does and Ben has used his 'magic' to make himself look different. We walk around this town, getting food and drinks and such, causing a little chaos as well when toby decides to set a small store on fire. We all laugh as we run as fast as we can, hiding in a park to catch our breathes.

"Holy shit toby you idiot we could have gotten caught-!" I say through laughter, toby playfully punches my arm

Toby: "but we didn't!" We all laugh and hang out until the sun starts to rise.

Back at the mansion, Jeff has woken up and for some reason he isn't aware of yet, is freaking out since he can't find (Y/N). Hes harassing Ej since he was last seen with her.
