[Shuichi's POV]

I've been inside here for i think 5 hours and I'm starting to starve. I heard a sudden jingle of keys and foot steps coming inside the room and realized I finally had my hope. I heard creaking sounds that could be the doors they're unlocking one by one, and finally! They found the room I was trapped in. 

"Bingo!" A voice said, it sounded like Miu.

"Sidekick?! Are you in there?!" A loud male voice said, I'm guessing this one is Kaito.

I looked up at him and nodded with eye bags and a grumbling stomach. 

"You're a bad liar ya know, Shumai~" A familiar sassy voice said, so this is Kokichi

"Shuichi, shall i prepare some food for you? You look very tired..." A low female voice said, so this is Kirumo- I mean Kirumi. I looked at her and nodded. I slowly went out of the box and tried to stand on my feet. I managed to do it,my legs are still shaking a bit, but I can still walk. I trembled and almost fell but I was luckily caught by Kaito. 

They all asked on how I was feeling and were so worried about me, then Kirumi came with warm soup which I ate. I took a quick nap then I saw a blurry purple figure on top of me.

"Mooorning  Shuumaiii~"

I flinched and screamed (Like a girl) 

"K-Kokichi?!" 

"Soooo when are you gonna tell the others that I'm the mastermind??"

"Later, when they asked" I lied, I wouldn't tell them 'cause that's what Kokichi wants .

" 'I won't tell them cause that's  what he wants' is probably what you're thinking, riiight?"

How did he-

"I can read minds ya know. I am the Ultimate Despair afterall~"

Ultimate despair...? That's why he acts like this... He knew that i had loved him and that everyone else liked me so either way, we'd fall into despair.  But why did he sell himself out? Is he perhaps lying? I've heard from a few people that there's a traitor so probably he pretended to be the mastermind... 

"Oi oi oi... Thinking too much huh, Ultimate Detective~? Well, get going then! Tell them I'm the mastermind, so eeeeverything can end!"

If there was only a way I could just...

"Kokichi... Why did you do this?"

"Huuuh?"

"Why did you trap us in this killing game?"

"Weeeelll... Long story short, people were bad and I want everyone feel the despair I felt! The end."

"Kokichi... can you please, release us? I'm sorry for what happened in your past... but keeping the grudge will only worsen it!" I begged at him with a few tears in my eyes.

"Oh believe me! The outside world is waaayy more worse than inside here"

"Well... Can you atleast stop this... killing game?"

Then there was silence. I started to get my hopes back up and thought he was thinking about it, in which he did! But the answer isn't really what I had expected.

"You know that this whole killing game thing is a lie, riiight? So you pretty much killed eachother for nothing!"

"Huh?!"

"Weelll, the Monokumas are fake, this whole thing is fake and even the time limit is fake! I just wanted to see how guillible people are!" He said with his eyes shining and his hands closed on front of his chest. 

Realizing that he's worse than what I thought he was, was the worst. He had started a fake killing game just "for fun" and I had to see a scene of a brutal murder which messed my brain up. I myself cant even believe what I did next...

I grabbed a knife that Maki had left for me, then stabbed my so called 'lover' in the chest a lot of times. I see him crying but hear him say unsettling things. He was laughing, like it's the time of his life, saying stuff like "AHAHAHAHAH IS THAT ALL YOU GOT?!" And kept on coughing in each sentence. He eventually fainted from the blood loss. A few minutes later, I checked his pulse and it has ended. This pain has ended. But my guilt built up more.

 The Monokumas and the Monokubs started to power down and every thing seemed a bit silence.

I sat there crying at the fact I killed the one whom I loved but I was also proud of myself for saving my friends. 

"Hey sidekick! did you know wha- WHAT HAPPENED TO KOKICHI?!" Kaito barged in.

"I-i killed him...  But it's finally over!" I said with a smile but started to cry again.

"What?!"

"He- he betrayed us! He s-started it! I-I had to! But i don't want to! B-but  I did it! I ki-killed him!" I sobbed again "b-BUT I LOVED HIM!" I started hugging Ouma's dead body

"imsorryimsorryimsorryimsorryimsorryimsorryimsorryimsorryimsorry!"

"S-sidekick?! Are you alright?! Hey Maki roll!"

"What is it Kaito? And stop calling me tha-" her eyes widened as she looked at me and Ouma's dead body.

"You... You actually used it?"

"y-yes..."

"Hey, it's alright... Atleast you did it for the better."

"B-but I-I- No matter h-how good the reason is, you-you shouldn't! You shouldn't ki-kill someone!"

"Sidekick, we're also sad to find out he's behind this all, but look at the bright side! You saved 12 of us! including yourself which makes 13!"

I stopped crying and just made little sobs.

"plus, he was a jerk, anyway!"

I looked at my 2 best friends and made a small smile but still a bit teary. And so we tried to move on from what happened.

"Well that was some dramatic scene" A sassy voice said.

"Huh?" I looked back and saw noone. I could've sworn I heard Kokichi, but i kept on moving forward making small jokes with Maki and Kaito.
