Chapter-2

A month passed like a breeze and Sanchez finally settled in. He is quite surprised himself, how well he settled in? They all together formed a pattern. A simple routine to go by, together they eat almost every meal; there is chaos but not the annoying one, with his cousins he reinvented their friendship. Though; they are bit older than him but, not that much. They are quite nice to go with. His aunt Charlotte hasn't approached him this past month with 'their talk'. But, Sanchez knows sooner or later she will confront him.

Sanchez quietly roams around the immense backyard with their two dogs; insta and snap, very unusual names and, all the credit goes to his cousins and their weird quirks.

"insta" Sanchez calls out to the extra hyper dog "come back here" but he didn't. They really do suite their owners though.

"Stupid dog" he muttered to himself and looked down at the snap who stuck to his side "not you snap, you are a good boy" which earned him a happy woof from the said dog, well he thinks it was happy woof anyway.

"What you doing here all alone?" spooked by his aunt's voice Sanchez held his now wildly beating heart not used to his aunt's antics just yet.

"Aunt Char" Sanchez exclaimed "don't do that" complained about her tendency to spook people.

"Oh you'll live." His aunt just dismissed his life scare with wave of her hand and proceeded to pat the dogs.

"You didn't tell me" she again asked

"About" Sanchez asked confused

"What are you doing here all alone?" his aunt again asked.

"Just to get some air" Sanchez absentmindedly replied, unaware of his aunt's eyes on him; studying, observing his every move. There was no judgement in her eyes or malice but, an unusual understanding. She knew the feeling very well.

"Talk to me" her voice pulled him back to reality.

"Talk about what?" Sanchez replied taking the seat beside his aunt both, the dogs playing in distant chasing some butterflies.

"anything" his aunt suggested "whatever you want" she said with a tilt of his head meeting his eyes.

Sanchez just starred at her and then at the distant, trying to swim across his haywire thoughts; trying to bucket them up. "I..." he started but hesitated "is it normal?", instead asked this.

"normal" aunt char mulled upon the word normal before replying to him "define normal" try to coax what he really meant by his statement?

"this" Sanchez expanded his arms out gesturing towards his surrounding "sitting like this, talking; having every meal together, Telling eachother about our day, laughing, bickering Just being together." He poured his muddling thoughts about all the normal things yet, they seem so foreign to him.

"Why wouldn't it be?" his aunt Charlotte asked instead "huh, that's what families do? Don't they?"

"Do they?" Sanchez asked lost "if that's what a normal everyday family does? Mine is far from normal then" quietly said the last part feeling a lost connection between his family. Where they only talk business and breathe & eat money and the societies status.

"That's' why you did it?" he was again put in the spot by his aunt.

"I wish" Sanchez started "I did it" then refrained himself from saying further "does it matter, people can think what they want to?" snapped just being frustrated from this feeling, being pointed out, continuously being described in wrong frame, the bad guy.

"It does" her voice stopped his emotional toil "I don't want to push you or put you in a spot but, Sanchez it matters to me. I don't believe any of that but, at the same time you need to understand and talk about it sooner or later. Sooner the better; trust me the more you drag this out, the more miserable and negative you will feel" she shared her thoughts with him.

"You speak with an experience" Sanchez asked instead curious what she will say? Because, he has heard some things over the years about her; Sanchez never knew depth of truth they speak but, he wants to know them too.

His aunt sat starring at far distance nothing in particular "what I have experienced something you can't compare? But, let me ask you how much have you heard from the 'Edmond Express'." questioned Sanchez again instead of straight up telling the answers.

"Edmond Express" Sanchez asked with chuckle yet confused.

His aunt Charlotte joined his laugh "what don't tell me you never knew?" said in between their subsiding chuckles "it's the name given to rumor mill of Edmond family" clarifying the legendary name.

"This family is definitely something" Sanchez exclaimed shaking his head in amazement of such a name.

"you tell me" she agreed with him "well lets head back before they send the search party for us" got up and whistled loudly to gather the two dogs from their own world, showing yet another side to Sanchez which is so much different from the riches his parents associate with; flaunting what they have.

Sanchez followed his aunt pursuit "you aunt Charlotte" got his aunt's attention "you are something" complemented her earning a genuine smile from her.

"well what can I say" his aunt bloomed in his compliment "I have many hidden talents" made a pose making Sanchez double over in laughter, even his eyes watered "aunt never, I mean it never do that again"

"ohh please" his aunt played along "you young people don't know anything" turned around marching towards the house her two loyal bodyguards flocking her sides ready to defend their boss.

"Ohh c'mon" Sanchez called out and ran to catch up with his offended aunt "aunt char I won't laugh anymore...don't be angry" finally pulled her to stop.

Only to see he was played by his own aunt who was finding hard not to crack a smile "you...." Sanchez pointed at her in accusation.

"Hidden talent remember" aunt char said "you young people are so easy" patted his cheek and entered the house with a smile leaving behind her two posses who stared at him like he lost his mind?

"You knew didn't you" Sanchez asked the two loyal guards who just scoffed at him and followed their master into the house, leaving a very confused and flabbergasted eighteen year old behind.

"Did I just get dissed by them?" Sanchez muttered to himself scratching his head nevertheless, followed them inside.
