Chapter-15
Sanchez found his way back where it all started. At the same backyard, under the same tree and surrounded by the two rascals who by god grace are napping beside him then chasing some butterflies.
Sure life felt lot easier past these days. A lot easier he used to think.
"Why I always find you here?" a voice he came to love and hate at the same time said.
"I wonder the same thing" Sanchez mused "why you always follow me?" he teased "don't tell me you fancy me aunt" Sanchez gasped in mock horror "oh my poor uncle"
"very funny" his aunt replied "so how's the talk with the parents go?"
"you don't let it slide, do you?" Sanchez groaned and sat up to face his ever curious aunt "it seems to me you live of gossip" he pointed out
"well" his aunt Charlotte shrugged her shoulders "what can I say? It keeps me going."
"wow" Sanchez muttered seeing his aunt in new light "now I see your true colours. It's funny how people change?" mused out loud.
His aunt laughed at his expression but, shortly sobered up "jokes apart, tell me how it went" asked him again this time more serious than before.
Sanchez nonchalantly said "they start off with sorry well all honestly, they should be, they didn't even trust me. Although, they soon starting reprimanding me. That; how I should be more careful and responsible and not to tarnish our family name like that. It's not like I did all those horrible things. I just did what I thought was best, and he had no right to drag Jackson, Maya or I like that. Well. Long story short, I somehow convinced them to let me stay here and go to the college nearby" he summed up
His aunt gave him the look either you spill or I will somehow get it out of you "are you sure that's all that you talked about?"
Sanchez squirmed under her gaze and smile sheepishly "well you know........." he trailed off
"Oh well" aunt charlotte said "let me help you jog your memory boy. Well a little birdie told me you guilt tripped you parents to buy you a Porsche and an unlimited credit card, huh"
Sanchez sat unsure how to deny her words "well..."
"Yes"
"You see"
"I hear very well too"
"Oh c'mon aunt" Sanchez finally gave in under her penetrating gaze "maybe I did but, girls dig that thing. Soon I'm starting college I need to make good first impression. You know first impression is everything."
"I think you are right" his aunt agreed much to Sanchez's relief "thinking of first impression I remember yours. It wasn't that glorious either so, tell me lad why should I let you stay in my home?"
Sanchez face grew taut and went slack in shock in a few seconds "what...What.... I don't understand" he was still processing her words "don't you love me? How can you let your oh so handsome, loveable and more competent than you two crack heads you call son, nephew like this? How could you?" Sanchez was busy fussing over the thought of being thrown out if his aunt's house but, he horrid day dream was shattered by. None other than his aunt who doubled over from laughing so hard, even her eyes gleamed with tears.
"Aunt Charlotte" Sanchez exclaimed finally it dawned to him; he was played yet gain "how could you play me like that? Why always me?" he whined
"You are so easy" his aunt manages to wheeze out in between her bouts of laugh
