~Toby's pov~

After the wedding, everything changed between Arianna and me. I always had a nervous, funny feeling around her, but when I finally got a conversation going, it would disappear. I liked the fuzzy feeling I got whever she walk by or smile my way. Soon, it was winter, and no more soccer until spring. I sighed sadly, because I've been playing that sport my whole life.

"Toby," Ari hit my arm. I sat next to her in English, because it was the only empty seat, and whenever the teacher zoned me out, or whatever, Ari would snap me out of it.

"What happened?" I asked her. She rolled her eyes, showing me the paper. Then she grabbed a pencil, writing both of our names down on it. I gave her a confused look, but then asummed that we were working together.

"We have to work on this worksheet, I'll find the answers, you write them? Got it? Good." She explained, as I tried to find a pencil.

"Can I use one of your pencils?" I asked her once I gave up looking for mine. She nodded handing me her pencil pouch. I opened it up and drug around for a pencil I found one, but something fell out of the pencil pouch. A little piece of paper. I picked it up, and she looked at me, with wide eyes.

"That belongs in the pouch." She mumbled taking both the paper and the pencil pouch. I nodded grabbing the worksheet, and waiting for an answer. "Adverb, Verb, Noun, Article, Indeffinate Article, Deffinate Article, and Synonyms."

"Okay." I finished writing them down, and then Arianna to the paper, and brought it to the teacher.

"Ari, did you do good?" She raised an eyebrow, and Arianna nodded, watching the teacher grade the paper. She finally finished it, handing it back to Arianna, and she walked over to me with a pouty face.

"Did we do bad?" I asked her. She nodded showing me the paper. I looked at it in aw. 100. She thought that was bad? "It's a one hundered." I told her, and she nodded, "What's the matter with a 100?" She smiled at Dani who showed her, he got a 90. I felt a bit jealous that he was getting her attention so easily, but I ignored the feeling and focused on her again.

"Because," She paused, fixing the position she sat as, "I didn't get an A plus, plus." I rolled my eyes at her, and she pouted at me.

"Calm down," I told her, "We can get a better grade later, if that's even possible!" I smirked at her, and she nodded. Finally the belle ranged and it was time for science.

FInally, school was finished, and Arianna and I walked home. Arianna was walking funny, and I felt the awkwardness in the air. I sighed, seeing my breath, and kept breathing out of my mouth.

"It looks like your smoking." Arianna giggled. I rolled my eyes and placed my arm on her shoulder. "Your heavy, stop leaning on me!" Arianna shouted.

"Nope!" I smirked down at her.

"Yes," Arianna said annoyingly.

"No," We stopped walking and kept this going, Arianna looking up at me, I looking down at her. I felt perfect like this.

"Yes," She finally said, very slowly, and looked up at me without an annoied look. I smirked down at her, about to kiss her, but she looked away. "I think I should go." She said quickly, I nodded as she ran away to her house. I sighed walking to mine, wishing I never let her go.

~Ari's pov~

I couldn't go on like that, I couldn't kiss Toby, it felt wrong, even though I kind of wanted to. I shooked my head, I didn't want to! I ran inside to my house, shutting the door behind me as fast as possible. I turned around seeing my grandmother on the couch, dozing off a bit, watching an old, black and white, movie. I placed my school stuff were I normally do, and sat next to her.

"Hi, Ari." She yawned.

"Hey, Grammy." I smiled at her.

"How was school?" She questioned me. Like all people say, I said good. She nodded, and went back to watching the movie. I got up and grabbed an apple. While I was about to take a bite, I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. Without checking who it was, I answered it.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Arianna." Toby said, I rolled my eyes, sitting down.

"What's up?" I asked him, kind of wondering why he called me.

"I, um, just wanted to say that I'm sorry." He said, and I stared at the apple a bit shocked.

"For what?" I asked him back.

"The thing in the street." He answered. I nodded, even though he couldn't see it.

"No sweat." I told him. There was a bit of silence on the phone, at first I thought he hung up; but that wasn't what happened. I sat there, looking at my apple, and finally took a bite. "So," I said after I swallowed.

"Um," He trailed off and I rolled my eyes. I took another bite of the apple, waiting for him to say something. "Want to come over? Play Xbox or something?" He questioned me. Even though Xbox wasn't a big thing for me, I thought I could give it a try.

"Okay, I'll be over after my snack." I told him.

"Okay, see ya." He said.

"Yup, bye." I said then hung up. I looked at my grandmother, who was now asleep. I got the blanket off the couch and put it on her. I left her a note on the island, finished off my apple, and left the house. I walked over to Toby's house, ringing the doorbelle. Toby opened the door, stepping aside letting me in. God, wish me luck.
