Those two weeks flew by, and Ari wasn't happy about it. She felt weaker and knew that today was the day her sweet Sammy would be leaving. She felt a lonely tear slip down her face. It was three in the morning and Ari couldn't sleep, not even a wink. Suddenly her phone vibrated, someone was calling her. It was Sam. Her heart raced as she quickly picked it up.
"Sammy?! What's wrong?!" She exclaimed as he would never call her at this hour unless it was super important.
"Arianna, sweetie, let's go to the lake one last time before I leave." His voice seemed to had lost it's happiness that he usually always had. She looked out her window to see Sam, he was shirtless and she noticed the call was dropped, she threw her phone on the bed and focused on Sammy. He walked back and forth, running his long fingers into his beautiful hair, Ari loved so much. She felt another tear fall, but this time she caught it with her hand. Not noticing that it was there, she ran to get ready to meet Sammy outside. She called him once she was outside.
"Sammy, are you going to the lake?" She questioned him.
"Yes, sweetie, I'm leaving my house right now." He explained and Ari saw him coming out of his house. She dropped the call and ran over to him. They held hands, as if for dear life and they walked over to the lake. The beautiful white pussy willows surrounding the lake. Ari wanted Sammy to stay with her here, forever. But Ari knew forever wasn't real in relationships.
"Arianna," Sammy snapped Ari out of her thoughts. Ari faced him, as he started to brush her hair back. "Honey, I can't believe I'm leaving today." He gave a sad look. This look broke Ari's heart.
"Sammy, maybe I can come with you!" Ari tried making the sisutation better.
"I tried that already, sweetie. My parents think it's too much." Sam cupped her cheeks.
"No Sam! I can't stand this! I need to be with you! Sam, don't leave me!" Ari cried.
"Sweetie, don't cry!" Sam cried back. He brushed his thumb on her cheek. His lips planted on hers. Ari had a tear slip slowly down her cheek as it was wipped away by Sam's thumb. They broke apart as Sam looked down at Ari. "I just got an idea!" He gave her a smile.
"Really?!" She gasped.
"Yes! Why didn't I think of this before?! We need to run away together!" Sam grabbed Ari's hand again.
"Sam! We need to get our stuff together!" Ari cried, as Sam nodded.
"Let's go back and meet here in a half an hour!" Sam made a deal as the two of them walked back to their houses. Ari rushed into the house and rush up the stairs. She took a bag and packed some important belonging and left her Grammy a note. She noticed that the thirty minutes were almost over. She walked out of the house and ran to the lake, sitting under the white pussy willows. She waited and waited. Ari took out her phone and dialed Sam's number. His phone was off. He never has his phone off! She got out, leaving her bags. She was in great panic now. Ari ran to his house, not seeing her Sammy in sight.
"Baby, where are you?! I need you, we need to run away together!" Her heart ached. She ran to his house to see his cars gone. But there was a note on Ari's door.
My dearest Arianna,
I tried, I tried my hardest to run away with you. My parents caught me, and threw my phone out the window. Sweetie, how I wish I could had ran away with you. By the time you get my note, I'm probably already in the car. Don't worry about me anymore, just look at the lake and you'll see the two of us, under the water, having our beautiful kiss. I love you! I truly do! Don't forget about me!
Love,
Sammy
Ari's heart was teared apart. She ripped the note off the door and ran back to tha lake, the note in her hand. She sat under the pussy willow tree and cried her heart out until she fell asleep. Sammy, the only person in the world who cared about her, was gone. He was far, far away now, and Ari had nothing. She could never be the same person after her love left.

Ari woke up the next morning, her eyes sore from crying. She grabbed her bag, saying goodbye to the lake. This would be the last time she would ever be at this lake, it was starting to rip her heart apart. With one last tear, she left the lake. Ari walked back inside, noticing her grandmother hadn't opened the note yet, about her running away with Sammy. She ripped it apart and throw it away.
"Ari," Grammy exclaimed. "Where have you been?!" Ari looked down at her lonely hands, then back up at her Grammy.
"I woke up early and went to the lake, for a swim." Ari lied.
"Sam didn't go with you?" Grammy asked. Ari felt tears sting in her eyes, but fought them.
"Sammy's gone." She mumbled. Her grandmother nodded, knowing not to say another word about it, and started making breakfast. Ari ran upstairs and threw her bag on the floor of her room, placing Sam's note under her pillow. She laid in bed, and hid her face in the pillow.
Again, Ari's phone rang. She looked at the ID and sighed, answering it.
"Hello." She sadly said.
"Hey Arianna!" A voice came through the phone.
"No, only Sammy calls me that! You call me Ari!" Ari snapped.
"Well, Ari, I was saying that I hope you have a good day at school, tomorrow?" Her mother said. Ari rolled her eyes.
"School is in two days, don't remind me." Ari mopped.
"Well, I'll call you before school starts, okay? Love you, bye." Her mother agreed.
"Whatever, bye." Ari hung up. She threw her phone on the night stand next to her, but missed. Ari couldn't care though, all she wanted was her Sammy. She looked at Sam's note again. She didn't realize that there was a back side. But it was nothing important like a new phone number or his new address. Instead it was a little poem.
Arianna,
Your beautiful blue eyes will remind me of the lake. Your beautiful brown hair will remind me of your house. Your skill in soccer will remind me of how we played together, and how I lost. Your lips, the lips I already miss, remind me of the flowers you love in the forest, the ones I put in your hair. Just remember my love, I'll always be in your heart.
Love,
Sammy.
Ari's heart ached again. She had to make a list for her to remember Sammy, and his great specialties. Ari ran to grab an old notebook that she had all her favorite and special memories. She opened to the next blank page and wrote Sammy on the top of it, and the date.
Sammy,
Your blonde, long, beautiful hair will remind me of the reflection of the sun on the lake. Your gray-blue eyes will remind me of the sky, I will always walk under. Your soft lips, will remind me of the kisses we had under the water, in the lake. Those last words you said to me; let's go, and meet back here in a half an hour; will remind me of how we tried running away together. You're my only love, and I already feel my heart tearing apart.
Love,
Your Arianna.
Ari closed the notebook and placed it on her nightstand. She put Sammy'a note in the notebook with it.
"What am I going to do now that my Sammy left me?" Her heart cried. Ari didn't have a clue. But then she remembered what Sammy said to her long before she knew he was moving.
"You need to sign up for soccer, don't let me down! I'll be cheering you on." Sam promised. That promised wasn't going to work, but Ari knew that the second there was sign ups she was going to them.
Ari promised herself that, but she was only doing it for her Sammy, nobody else.
"Ari!" Her grandmother yelled from downstairs.
"Yeah?" Ari questioned her.
"Breakfast is ready!" She said and Ari slowly got out of bed. She slowly walked downstairs and to the kitchen. She ate her breakfast, and went back upstairs.
"What am I going to do without my boyfriend?" Her heart cried.
