Marinette's POV:
I gasped for air.
I opened my eyes.
I felt around me.
I could feel my legs and arms move.
What about everything else?
Was Tikki alright?
Where were mom and dad?
I heard sobs.
I could not speak.
I struggled to breathe.
I felt something cover my chest.
I realized it was a board.
Then, I shoved a brick. At least, I thought it was a brick that I pushed off my right ankle.
I could not get out.
I shook off some of it.
Despite being pinned to the ground, I was alive.
I poked my hand out.
Let someone see it soon, I thought.
I lost consciousness again.
I could not help it.
I was hurt. Wounded even.
A gloved hand slipped into mine as the other one carefully removed the chunk of metal off my chest.
I felt whoever it was in my unconscious state as they picked me up.
Too bad I could not thank my helper.
I came too with some mask over my face. Tubes were everywhere.
"Tikki?"
"Marinette, you made it!" A familiar voice spoke.
I let my kwami hug me.
The door opened to the room, and a nurse I assumed entered it. Tikki managed to hide, so no one saw her. I smiled weakly.
"Well, glad to see my patient is awake then."
