3rd Person View:
Avery was sitting in small room, wrapped in her blankets with her phone in her hands. Her room wasn't anything special. There was a wooden, polished desk, a twin sized bed, a work chair, and a closet within the walls. She was scrolling through a webtoon when the door burst open.
"Avery! Why are you wrapped in your blankets like a cocoon? Get up! Clean up your room! It's a mess," Avery's mom yelled, her hands on her hips. She walked over to the bed and grabbed the phone which was in Avery's hand.
"HEY! You need to give that back! I was doing something important," Avery whined jumping out of her bed and reaching for the phone.
Her mother looked at the screen. "Again with this webtoon thing? I am going to block the app if you don't take a break over it," she sighed and dropped the phone onto the bed then walked out of the room, "I'll check on you an hour later."
Avery POV:
"Uncultured," Avery murmured. She reached for her phone and turned it off.
I can't take any chances. I'll just clean my room and I'll binge during night time.
She smiled, "Hehe." Suddenly the phone started ringing. Avery's good friend, Ellie, was calling. She picked up the phone and accepted the call. "Hey girl," Avery smiled falling onto my bed, "What?! Uru-Chan isn't posting this week? Sigh-It's ok. Author-San needs her rest...That's all? Alright bai :)." BEEP
"Ha," Avery laughed sarcastically, "This. Life. Is. So. Boring." She place her phone onto the bed and stared at her hands.
Life would be soo much more interesting if it were like unOrdinary. If only I were in unOrdinary. She closed her eyes and breathed in and out. If only...
The next thing she knew, she was fast asleep in her bed.
Avery woke up. Bright light shone through a window across from her bed.
Huh? This doesn't look like my room. The window is supposed to be next to my bed.
She rubbed my eyes and stared at the window.
This isn't my house. Where am I?
THUMP. A loud noise came from somewhere outside the door.
"You dumb low-tier! I told you to do my math homework and you said you accidently slept instead of doing it?!" a female voice shouted.
SMACK
"Agh! Ah! Wenqi please stop! I'm sorry! N-next time I'll be sure to prioritize y-yours first." a voice stammered, barely audible.
Fwoosh
"Some people are trying to sleep keep it down will you?" someone yelled.
"A-ah! S-Seraphina! What a surprise...," Wenqi laughed nervously.
"Oh it's no surprise. I'm guessing the whole hallway is awake by now," Seraphina scoffed, "If you're going to bully someone, at least do it outside. Better yet, don't do it! Do something useful in your life!"
Seraphina...low-tier...Wenqi? But...those things are from Unordinary though. No, no, no...no. I I'm dreaming. Hah.
The door near Avery's bed swung open. A girl with pink bangs and pigtail walked through the door. "A-ah. You're awake," she said quietly while smiling.
"Hm? Who are you?" Avery questioned, "An exactly how did you get in?"
"S-sorry, I haven't properly introduced myself. M-my name is Evie, your dorm mate. I am a low-tier. My a-ability is illumination a-and my level is 1.5," Evie stammered, looking down at the ground.
Evie? As in Seraphina's friend? So...It looks like I have to accept it. I'm in unOrdinary. Heh, that's really neat.
"Hey, your Seraphina's friend right?" I questioned, smiling slightly.
"Eh!? Me...friends with t-the Seraphina? Good j-joke. She is a god while I'm basically a cripple," Evie said giggling nervously.
Hm...So looks like we are starting this story before Seraphina lost her ability.
"Yes I'm a joking. Anyway my name is Avery. I like reading and drawing," I said, waving my hand at Evie, "Do you want to be friends?"
"Sure! By the way, I really like your blue hair :)," Evie said looking relieved and happy.
W-what??? Blue hair??? Huh??? But my hair is dark brown not BLUE. Huh???
"Hey Evie I'd really appreciate if you would bring me to the bathroom," I muttered looking away anxiously.
"Huh? Alright I guess, but don't you know where the bathroom is?" Evie said skeptically.
"Ah, sorry," I murmured and sat up in my bed, "While your at it can you also tell me where we are?"
"Huh!? What do you mean you don't know where we are???" Evie sighed, "We are at Wellston's girl's dorms. Are you sure you are okay?"
So I am enrolled to Wellston and is currently in the girl's dorms. I should have guessed. After all, there are Evie, Seraphina, and Wenqi here.
"I'm fine, just please bring me to the bathroom," I replied, staring at the ceiling.
Evie hesitated, but smiled and stammered "Um...A-alright!"
