A New Beginning ~ Fluff

"'Morning Y/n!" Wilbur greets me as I walk towards the onyx walls of my home, L'manburg. I admired the sturdy black stone that elegantly composed the walls to the beloved nation, I skipped into the high walls, the small country bustling with activity as I waved to my friends. 

The early August sun lies lightly in the sky as its rays stream through the warm late summer air. I breathe deeply, a smile laying itself on my face as I see my friends, Niki turns towards me a basket of pastries in her left hand as she waves at me. I walk towards her, a bounce in my step as I admire the beautiful nation, the flag standing proudly, waving in the soft breeze. I sigh in admiration, the plush grass beneath me complementing the cloudless summer sky as I stretch throwing back my hood on my f/c cloak. Lifting a hand to tuck behind a stray hair, I smile to the shorter girl, shaking my head as I soak in the warm sun.

 "Morning Niki!" I greet her, her face bright as she walks closer to me.

 "Good morning to you too Y/n, oh would you like some fresh treats I just finished them." she offers me a look at the basket.

 I hesitate but the hunger filling my mind overwhelms my manners as I gaze at the delectable food.

 I pick up a chocolate croissant with a smile on my face, "thanks Niki!" I hum to her taking a bite of the heavenly treat. 

She giggles a reply her hand covering her mouth as she laughs, "how was your night outside?" 

I nod at her question rubbing my eyes in annoyance, "it was alright I didn't see much, though I definitely missed home" I answer gesturing to the nation surrounding us. 

"I should get going but stop by the bakery any time!" she replies, walking towards the center of town with a smile. 

I nod to her my mouth full, before walking towards the prime path humming softly. I nod to tommy who joins me on the path and he nods back as he listens to my humming, joining on some parts but mostly being silent. I laugh as I end the song, arriving at my house near the center of L'manburg. 

He waves to me, "Bye y/n!" he shouts as he continues down the path, I wave back to him "Nice seeing you tommy!" I laugh my smile growing as I step into my cottage.

 Placing my sword on the entrance table I slip out of my cloak, calling out to my cat. "Sardine!" I call out as I hear his collar jingle, he runs towards and I lean down picking him up gently. He purrs in my arms as we walk towards the couch, sitting down as he sits gently on my lap, purring louder. I yawn tired from the night out, before softly laying my hands on his soft back, his tail curling around my arm as I chuckle softly, the fatigue overcoming me. I slip tenderly into a pleasant sleep, my arms on either side of Sardine as he continues to purr, my mind falling into a sweet depth.
