July 22, 2:30 A.M.

"Hey. Hey Stan. Hey." Kenny poked my upper thigh but I pushed his hand away and continued mashing the buttons on the controller.

"Stan. Stan. Stanny." My eye twitched and I started getting irritated but continued to ignore him.

"Staaaaaaaaan."

"WHAT!" I snapped and watched as my character died on screen.

"If parents say 'Don't talk to strangers,' then how do you make friends?"

I let out a deep sigh, that was honestly the dumbest question anyone's ever asked me, "Kenny... I don't know."

"Woah. Kenny, that's like... deep." Kyle was sitting on a blue bean bag in the corner of my room, curled in a ball, hiding. One thing about Kyle is he has deep paranoia when he's ganja, that bean bag is technically his hideout spot every time we're here.

Kenny sighed and took a long hit out of the colorful bong sitting next to his right side, he exhaled and a large cloud of smoke came out of his mouth. He coughed slightly and grinned, before slowly standing up. I watched him stumble to grab his mango monster that was by the window, before hearing him gasp like he was a drama student.

"Oh shit, these people are tumbling!" Kenny exclaimed laughing, holding onto the window for support. I sighed, standing up and walking over to see what Kenny was talking about.

"Hm. That looks like the whole town, should we check it out?" I motioned for Kenny to pass me the bong. Kyle sat up in the chair and frantically shook his head.

"Hell no. Nothing good could come from an angry mob."

"You don't know, there could be a huge sale going on at Whole Foods. Besides, they don't look angry, if anything they look scared." I thought it was kind of confusing how they were scared and screaming slightly, but I knew Kyle wouldn't even consider going out there if he seen that they were screaming. Kenny took a sip of his monster and burped in my ear, I pushed him onto the floor.

"Gross dude. Don't do that."

"Scared of what?" Kyle stood from the bean bag and walked over to us, Kenny shrugged. Kyle pushed me out of his way and pressed his face against the glass, "Weird."

"Guys, I know it's not a good idea but I kind of wanna go out there." Kenny was still on the floor but turned to look at us, with a grin on his face.

Kyle groaned, "Why? Why do you always put yourself into these situations, you know it's not a good idea but you still choose to take part in these activities." He rubbed his forehead with his right hand, his freckles on his skin showing a little bit from his sleeve pulling up from the movement.

Smoke from the bong started to fill the room, Kenny taking a few hits from it. "I say fuck it. Let's check it out." I suggested, going completely against Kyle's wishes.

"Alright, Stan the man." Kenny got on his feet and punched my shoulder, grinning slightly as he tumbled out of the doorway.

"Stan, what the fuck?" Kyle yelled, throwing his hands up in disbelief that his bestfriend went against his wishes. I shook my head and watched as Kyle slowly walked towards the door, looking grumpy and anxious.

"Sorry dude but there's probably something cool going on and we've been inside all day, we could use some fresh air." I told him, trying to make the situation of us going outside seem more positive and not just because we were being noisy. I wasn't completely wrong to be honest, we have been smoking that thing for the most of the day. Cartman was sure missing out, that was the one thing we all agreed on.

"Fine but only for a minute then we come right back inside. I don't wanna start any trouble like we usually do." Kyle said anxiously, looking back into the room before heading downstairs, I followed suite after shutting my bedroom door.

We all walked downstairs, Kenny standing by the main door. It was weird because my dad wasn't watching his cooking show like normal, instead the couch was empty with his cooking show playing. I also couldn't find my mom, which was even weirder since she would normally be the first to greet us when we came downstairs. Kenny looked backed at us and grinned, slowly turning the knob, he was obviously trying to get on Kyle's nerves.

"Oh for Jewbilee sake, open the door Kenny!" Kyle yelled, running up to the door and throwing it open.

As he threw the door open, we all looked onto the sidewalk outside of my house. It was my dad, as I was about to call out his name, I seen that he was hunched over. I tilted my head in confusion, but time stopped as I seen him look up, standing in a broken way almost. Expecting to see his stupid facial expression looking back at me, I seen veins all over his face, bulging ones. Instead of his hazel eyes, I seen dark red ones. Seeing my dad's appearance, I started shaking but I had a nauseous feeling rise up in me seeing him standing over my mother's dead body. She soon started convulsing on the ground, I could feel my breath quicken as I heard Kyle's distorted breath from behind me.

"S-Stan.. Is that Sharon..?" Kyle whispered out shakily, gripping my arm to try and get my attention.

It started getting hard to see, tears blocking my vision but I quickly jumped back as Kenny slammed the door shut and tried locking it through shaking hands. He finished locking it as we jumped back from hearing pounding at the door, Kyle fell on the ground.

"What the fuck man, what the fuck!" He exclaimed, starting to freak out. Kenny took a deep breath before shaking Kyle, making him look at him in the eye.

"Alright dudes, listen we are going to go up and get some stuff, grab everything you think is necessary, we are going to camp out here until we have to leave alright." Kenny explained, I could tell it was hard for him since he was wasted just 10 minutes ago, but me nor Kyle were in the right state of mind to even speak.

We walked upstairs after grabbing our school back packs and some food to put in them, then going to my dad's room where there was a few guns. I looked back at Kyle and Kenny, before looking at my dad's room, pointing to under the bed.

"Kyle, Kenny, we are going to need some guns so, there is a box under the bed, take your pick." I said emotionlessly, staring at the photo of our family professional photos before grabbing it and putting it in my bag.

We tried managing to put everything we could into the bags, we took all the ammo and guns, food that wouldn't rot in a couple of days, chargers too so we could keep in contact somehow, and blankets. We snuck out the back of the house, hearing groaning from a far distance. Kenny looked back at us and put a finger to his lips, we kept our bikes and Kenny's skateboard out back.

We grabbed our bikes and started to run with our bikes out to the front, Kenny following behind us. All three of us made it on to the main road, kicking our kick stands up and starting to pedal as fast as we could, Kenny right next to us on his skateboard. I looked back, seeing our hometown be turned into something we could never go back to ever again.
