CHAPTER 5: COME HOME MY BELOVED
Ava POV:
I can't believe she punched him, I pulled her back before anything too serious happened and I ended up in the corner with her infront of me "SARA! Why did you do that?!?!" she shrugged "he should've let go of you" she tried to get out of my grasp to go back over to him "and i wasn't done with him" she says. She is crazy, "sara don't do that okay forget it and just leave me alone" istart to walk away but she says "ava please stop" i keep walking and i end up leaving the class and getting into my car, i see her come out and i start to pull away she gets in her car and follows me, i take a turn to go to the loft and i think i lost her. I get up to our loft and Nate is there. He hasn't been feeling good recently. I go and get into my bed then like 5 minutes late I hear a knock at the door and I can't see who it is because we removed the peephole because it was dangerous. I open the door and see sara standing there with flowers and i start to close the door but she stops it with her food, "please ava let me explain" she whines "i have nothing to say to you" i spit back "ava let me in or im going to break this door" she explains i roll my eyes and kick her foot so its not in the door anymore i close the door and lock it. After a minute i think she left but the door comes bursting through and she walks in, i'm shocked and upset, Nick runs out of his room to check and see if everything is ok and as he gets out there he starts to say something then passes out. I was a lifeguard in highschool and i run over to him and so does sara i check for his pulse its there but its really weak, "here lets get him in my car and we will get to the hospital" sara says i nod while focused on nate, "i'll get him you go get the car" sara says as she tosses me the keys. I run downstairs and pull the car around, Sara wasn't down yet with nate so i start to get out to go help but she is there with him potato sacked across her shoulders carrying him *damn shes strong* i thought. We drive as fast as possible get there and sara demands service immediately and we get it and they take him back and about 30 minutes later a doctor comes out and says news i didn't want to hear, "Hi ladies, im Nate Heywoods doctor, Dr.Stein, Nate isn't doing well he is bleeding internally we are going to take him into surgery to try and find the source of the bleeding and stop it, we just need you to sign some things." he says as he hands me a clipboard i fill everything out and he leaves. I start crying and Sara is there to comfort me. I cry into her neck as she hugs me. She leads me to the chairs and I try to call Zari again and she answers. I tell her everything and sooner or later she is sitting with me as we freak out over Nate. Sara left about 5 minutes ago and she didn't say anything. She came back with snacks and tissues for me and Zari which was actually very sweet. She gets a call and picks up like she is a boos, "Lance, who is this?" She says I hear mumbling from the other end and she looks shocked and walks outside after about 20 minutes. She comes back in and tells us she has to leave the country for a "family emergency" and she's going to be gone for 2 weeks. "I will leave my car here for you guys,you are free to stay at my place and if you need anything call this number", and she hands me a card. I am really curious. I watch her walk out and a car pulls up. She gets into the back seat and the driver drives off,and I guess we wait to hear about Nate.
Sara POV:
I look at my phone after i hand ava and zari some snacks and it's an unknown number "Lance, who is this" i say speaking all of the sudden i hear a voice all too familiar for me " الطائر الصافر (Ta-er al-Sahfer) I've missed you my beloved'' the person on the other line says, I walkout and start talking "you need to come home my dear" they say into the line, i know better than to disobey them. I walk in and tell Ava that I'm leaving and she can stay at my house and if she needs anything to call this number, it's my guards number which will transfer to me. My driver gets here and we go by the house as I pick up everything I need and lock away those documents and just like that I'm about to see someone I thought I would never see again.
